Eurocharged teams up with ASP to create the newest pulley generation!

Eurocharged Performance has teamed up with ASP to co-design, co-engineer, and produce what we think is one of the best pulleys on the market.
It’s been 6 long months, and many hours of engineering work, but the end results speak for themselves.

The newest generation pulley has some design changes that will allow for an easier install, and more performance over the competition due to the lightweight material used. The 172mm pulley is 2.55 lbs lighter than the stock Mercedes pulley!
So how did this come about?
Well, last summer, Eurocharged was struggling with our current supplier to keep up with production. The pullies were leaving the shelves, and our lead time was growing exponentially. Something had to change. So, we thought who better then to talk to about pulley manufacturing then Auto Specialty Performance? A phone call was all it took, and a new relationship was formed. After countless drawing revisions, quality testing, and field testing, we feel we have really created the perfect product. ASP now fabricates and assembles all of our pullies directly at their headquarters in Stafford TX!

Interesting, I see that the webbing on the pulley looks different.
Good to see that you have the production in good order.Woody

Ok I'll be the one to ask this time. How and Why are they better than the last design and what gains can our cars make?

The newer pulley is 2.5lbs lighter than the previous design. However, you will not see a difference between the old 185mm and the new 185mm...
The reason for this is just to let evveryone know that ASP and Eurocharged are working together now combining many years of experience and design.
Looks like they ditched the small Idler pulley
Well since theres no difference in weight in the 185, i'll stick with the one I have. is there any weight savings in the 181? And will there be an updated 178 with weight savings?
Jake (Eurocharged) was mentioning on MBWorld that he did not feel it was necessary for current pulley owners to replace their same size pulley with this new version. All testing of this newer pulley design showed no significant increase in gains over the old design Eurocharged pulley.
...that being said, if you want the new one, then more power to ya.

yes, the M112K engine in the SLK32 is shared by the SRT6. You can install a larger crank pulley onto the engine. Though you do not use the 172/180mm pulley. The most common pully sizes on the M112K are 178, 181, and 185mm. Though the Eurocharged/ASP new design seems to only incorporate the 181/185mm pullies.
The 172 and 180mm pullies are used ono the big brother engine the M113k out of the 55 AMG cars (i.e. E55, CLS55, etc...but not C55)

Thanks for the reply back but I posted on the wrong post. I meant to post on the header post. Wondering if the headers will fit the slk.
