This has been said by many, but I feel duty-bound to add my comments if only in the hope that someone at DC is paying attention.

The SRT-6 wing ruins the effect of a classic design. DC went to great painsand I believe successfully so o evoke classic design elements; the boat tail, the hood strakes being prominent among them. The result is a car that indicates a heritage without being retro. The companies that have tried and failed at this are in the majority, e.g. the new Thunderbird. The most successfull has been Porsche with its 911. To many, the Crossfire has succeeded admirably in walking this very fine design line.

And then came the wing. It is as if an entirely differnt design team took over or, more, correctly, an aftermarket company specializing in boyracer add-ons. The XF is proving to be an acquired taste, given its slow sales. Quite probably the increased HP of the SRT-6 will provide the necessary incentive for sales, but my gawd folks is it also necessary to screw up the whole design?

If I come to the point where increased HP is warranted, I believe I'll go the Kleemann route.

In 1955 the Corvettes just sat on dealer lots too. Look where the Vette is today. The Crossfire is having a slow start but I attribute that to DC's lack of advertising. No one has a clue about what this car actually is (the MB connection, etc.).

I agree, the Corvett's problem was power & handling, the X-Fire lacks the power. Car & Driver Dudes expected power to match the looks and didn't get it in the original, the SRT will be a winner. The handling is there though.
