The gopro is mounted near the filter in the grille. I just take the grille off.
I tested it under the front bumper but it makes me nervous being only 3.75" off the ground. i am worried some hard braking may result in the camera hitting the road.
Here is what it looks like under the front of the car and with that stupid rattle fixed on the mount. I cut a zip tie and jammed it in the mount and it fixed it lol

Very nice, good driving. Clip those apexes a hair later and you will improve your times considerably. Track days are always a blast.
A little side story - a few years back I had an '86 911, bought it in '95 so it was a few years old when I got it. Was at Sebring for my first-ever track day in my bone-stock car and the guy in the next stall over had heavily modified 911 - roll cage, slicks, much of the interior gutted to reduce weight, etc. I was very impressed and thought he would smoke all of us in our beginners' group. That is, until I wound up passing him *twice* in our first go round. It was funny listening to his instructor after each session counseling him on how to go fast and he just didn't get it. Apparently he purchased the car and thought he could just dominate the track because, afterall, it sure looks easy on TV!

thanks man, yeah i hope in 2 weeks with all 4 tires the same i will be able to push it a lot harder.
yeah i have seen a few guys with big mods but no experience lol. got to love those 911's or almost any porsche for that matter.
do you have any pics of your old car i could see?
I do but on another 'puter. Will send them tomorrow. Don't have the SRT6 yet (will next month) but the 911, driven well - which wasn't easy in that particular generation - is just golden on a racetrack. I have yet to experience anything as fun as drifting a 911 through a high-speed sweeper. Hope the Xfire proves to be just as fun!

i like that bike too!
The Porsche was a love-hate relationship. It was amazing on the track, drove like a dream at high speeds but was very demanding to drive around town. At non-track speeds the steering required two hands, shifting was not a casual event, and forget having a coffee. It was a machine with a purpose. On track it came alive and everything became easy- the steering lightened up and the shifting was smooth. But the brakes kicked *** compared to anything I've driven since, on street or track.
I still kick myself in the *ss for selling that bike - '95 Honda VFR 750. Great ride.
