Muffler tips

Default Muffler tips

Is the srt muffler tip and the regular crossfire tip the same??

At first glance, they do look the same shape. But when the two different cars are parked side by side, there is a difference. Never took any measurements, but they do appear different.

SRT tips are substantially larger, and the attached muffler has a very different inlet arrangement.

Didn't know that. (my car tips are the same )

Did you find that in the Manual John???

They look the same to me, except the SRT-6 tips are painted black inside rather than polished.

Correct Dave SRT black, Limited stainless otherwise they look the same to me!

Measure the outlet diameter. The stainless part is identical, but the SRT's hols extends to the perimeter of each tip. The Limited's hole is receseed ever-so-slightly

I never said I was the spelling ****...

Actually, Kim was hanging off my arm and pulling me away from the forum. Long day yesterday, and I didn't get back home till after ten. I popped on for a second, but she had other wishes. I didn't put up much of a fight.

At any rate, I found two pictures of the rear ends of both the SRT and the N/A.

Take a guess as to which one is which. And no, they're not identical. The outer chrome is, but the inside is different. SRT is bigger and more flush with the outside of the tip. N/A has a smaller hole and is recessed slightly.
