Default Srt6 Crash by drunken wreckless driver

The srt6 was T-boned on the way home from work last week. She nailed me in the passenger side while i was going 60 mph, then knocked me unconcious. From the accident scene and damage it looks like after she hit me, she took me into the wall and I spun across all 3 lanes, hit the safety curb and stopped in the grass.

I was in the far left lane on a 3 lane stretch of highway and she was stopped on the far right shoulder. Then what happened after that was the worst ******* driving i have ever seen. The woman appeared to try to go full throttle in the rain an accelerate onto the highway as she fishtailed she over corrected and continued to accelerate across 3 lanes and smash into me.

Forgive the $10 walmart disposable camera i used to take the pictures as my digital camera was in the car at the time of the wreck and got damaged and wouldn't work.

She was driving the red soltice and the pictures on the interstate were taken the next day. You can see where i hit the wall and there were still red plastic parts of her car by the median.

I made a MS paint basic drawing to visual explain what happened

The autobody shop will have the estimates done in the next few days but more than likely the repairs should be rather expensive the whole rear indepentant suspension shifted, the damage goes down the whole passenger side including parts of the rear quarter, Yet to figure out if any structural metal is bent. But im hoping for a total loss just becausehow badly the rear suspension components have been damaged, but nothing is sure till the get under and look at everything.

Holy crap!!! That looks nasty!

Man, sorry to hear about your car. On the plus side, it's just a car and you're still alive. It could've been a lot worse. Best of luck acquiring a new SRT6.

I'm sorry this happened, hopefully you're in good health. There's always more crossfires. Did she get a DUI?

I am so sorry to hear this. Hopefully you can find another one and you stick around. Just glad nobody was seriously injured. From your little drawing, it looks like it could have been a lot worse.

Take care and get better

Also if anyone finds listing posted online of current srt6 crossfire that would be helpful as im trying to create a case to get as much as possible. The higher the list pricing the better. I know we are all used to looking for the cheapest but in this case i need the opposite. Mine was at about 31,000 miles for comparison. Just send me the links.

We are hopping to also push the fact that this is a very limited production car and that true value can't be fully determined by current market value. On a side note my lawyer is a parapalegic that actually became a lawyer after suffereing for injuries that happened to him after a severe car accident.

THe woman and her passanger weren't even injured during the accident manly due to her only having the front end collision and hitting me instead of face first into the median and possibly worse. I'm going for nothing less than the woman replacing the true value of the vehical in such a way that i can purchase another similar mileage/condition crossfire at a similar amount left on the note of that vehical 11,500. and of coarse medical exspenses built up due to the accident.

One innocent driver injured

Two beautiful cars ruined

I hope for a full and speedy recovery to you (and full compensation)

I hope she loses her license forever (and heartfully apologizes to you)

Unbelievable, just goes to show how we are all at risk to the other driver every day. Sorry this happened to you and hurts to see your car like that. Make sure you take care of yourself and have all medical issues checked out. Best of luck on finding another one.

I'm actually not sure what happened to her after i woke up it was only 60 seconds later the officer arrived on scene, and 90 second after that the paramedics arrived and i went with them. After i got out of the ambulance went to talk to the first officer to give him my statment. I asked him if i needed to give a statement as i had not given him one yet. He replied "You already gave your statment". I told him i never remember giving him one. He said oh you already did. He then laughed and said shes a stupid ***** and t-boned me. I'm not sure if i really did give that statement or he was just being funny. I was a little annoyed at the time because i wanted to acctually give a full statement but I will see once i get the report i gues.

This is very true in my lifetime i never imagined such gross neglegence behind the wheel. My wildest imagination couldn't have thought someone would go fullthrottle in the rain merging onto a highway from the shoulder and shoot sideways across a 3 lane highway. In fact i thought for sure right before the hit she would go behind me but she came over alot faster than anticipated. There was only fractions of a second to react which i did but it wasnt enough.

Sorry to hear about you accident, and I hope you have no long term injuries. From what we have seen from previous wrecks, yours will surely be totaled. Hopefully you will find another one at least as nice as yours. Just think...... your next SRT will be even more rare than your current one.

I think your quick reaction probably saved your life. Had you not reacted she would have hit you in the front fender and slamed the left front into the median with her still next to you. Most likely you would have rolled over her car and killed them both if not yourself. Instead she hit you sending your rear into the median and her behind you.

Glad you are safe. She can thank you and your reactions for her not being killed on the spot.

Cars can come and go in your life, but you are still here which is what counts. Don't settle too cheaply, wait for the 3rd or 4th offer from their insurance. Take your car to a high end body shop (BMW or Mercedes), it'll be totaled from the looks of things. Good luck.

Looks like the SRT held up nicely, protecting you from further injury. Glad this story had a positive ending.

It looks like mine (graphite, un-modded though). I will be listing mine for sale in the coming months, coincidentally. Shameless plug, I know, but if you're looking to replace, let me know.

Good thing you were able to walk away.

Jeremy
