That is one darned funny thread. Loved BlueBeastSRT's response. Really,
challenge someone to a $200 race, and not know what it is you are racing
against? And, the misinformation was hilarious. Don't people check stuff
before posting?
First, "there are no 'vert SRT-6s", then "No, they don't come in automatic".
Just hilarious. Can't wait to see the follow up messages. Really want to
see what that guy thinks after the race.

He lost you can count on it.
LMAO.... Well, I can say that I have educated quite a few of them at the track. I remember one time when I was lined up next to one in the staging lane, and the staging guy walked between us, and said to the guy in the GT..... He doesn't look like he is afraid of you. The guy in the GT rolled his eyes, and chuckled. Moments later..... A newly educated GT owner.

LOL! That was a great thread. I agree, the guy lost or backed out. No biggie, it happens.
When I first bought my SLK 4 years ago, a couple guy in my office asked me to go to the dragstip with them. Both had new GT's one auto one manual. They were high 13's low 14's. I ran 13.3... Since then, they wouldn't cometo the strip when I invited them out and one actually sold his brand new car... I always text them the results to rub it in a little... lol

Bob, I have to ship my car to Germany mid Nov, so let me know when you can hit the strip so we can have some fun before that... I have weekend college classes and military inspection (ORI) in Nov, so it'll need to be Oct...
Too bad the Wavetrac didnt happen before me leaving... And the $6k engagement ring isn't helping my moding... Lol

I've only raced a Mustang once, it was a mid-90's (96+ with the 4.6). I'm certain against that car I could have started in wet mode with the car in full auto, gave it half throttle and still outrun him. I think the 2011 with the 5.0 is on par with us stock for stock (in a straight line of course).
I don't get to the track often and around Charlotte they punish you more harshly than a drunk driver that kills someone if caught racing on the road. With that I haven't had a chance to really line it up against much but so far the most interesting race was against a 2010 BMW 650i, for an $85,000 car I expected more and the guy is probably upgrading to an M6 after being beat by a "Chrysler".
I also managed to get my first 350Z kill in the same week, he had all of the basic bolt-ons and it still wasn't even close. I ran into him last night on my way home, he revved when I got close then when he noticed it was the same SRT that whooped him a few nights ago he stopped revving and even slowed down to let me get far enough ahead that he wasn't next to me when we got on the interstate.

"NOKIDZ" Maybe you can change it for "KIDZ

A few weeks back I had a friend in the car and this riced up civic was screeching tires off of red lights, revving at people, and just being a ricer. I finally got around traffic and pulled up next to him, he obviously knew what I was in. You would have thought his car hit a wall. Very very slow driving, no more revving, not even a lane change. I was doing 5 under and still couldn't drive slow enough to get beside him he was driving so slow. My friend thought it was hysterical.
On a side note, my friend has a mustang GT. He bows down though. First time he got in my car and I gunned it at a light he grabbed the door handle, his eyes got big with his head pinned to the seat and he said, "oh my god this is a lot faster than mine!"
that thread was great to read...but, there were a few heavily modded Mustangs in there....one trapped 120, 11.7 with a 1.5 or so 60'....he would be a handful....always best to know what you are up against...lol
