I have an 05 badge that a member was kind enough to send me years ago after he debadged. I am still planning to replace it on my SRT6 (the original owner debadged it) when I finally get around to ordering the CROSSFIRE letters. Not for sale, tho. I was going to mention the SRT6 luggage had badges. I think I bought my sets for around $155/each 6 years ago. I have seen for sale posts for $400 since then. I use the luggage that came with my roadster and bought another set of regular and SRT6 back then, as well as a regular set for my son.

For the record; The SRT6 badge on the luggage is NOT the same as the OEM badge that the factory used on the rear of the car. Similar, but not the same quality.

Would also like to know how difficult it was to pry out the clear plastic lens off the top of the 6. Red electrical tape. Could you please elaborate a little on your successful refurbishing of the badge. Any pictures?

Unfortunately I didn't take pictures but I can elaborate on what I did. The 6 is actually part of the solid plastic piece that you pry out. I used a small flat head on what you would find on a small pair of utility pliers to slip between the plastic piece with the 6 and the emblem. After I sanded the dull red off "you'll see what I mean when you get it out" I just repainted it red with model paint. I cut a piece of red electrical tape to the size of the plastic piece just to have some sort of backing to glue to the recessed part of the emblem. I super glued the tape to the back of the piece that has the 6 and to the actual emblem as to not having to worry about it coming off ever.
Sorry I didn't explain it very well. I don't post often so I am not very savvy using the forum yet. I would of taken pics but haven't attempted to post pics on the forum yet. If you need anymore info I'll be than happy to share.

Well done, and thank you for sharing that. This may encourage another SRT6 owner with the faded red badge, to give it a go. My faded red badge was passed on to another SRT6, and I was lucky enough to purchase a pristine badge from another Forum member. I forgot all about this old thread I started, sorry for not updating.

Mine is turning orange and fading too. It is nice to keep things original, but I think I am going to go with an aftermarket 06 style. Looks so much better and a tad bit larger. 24designs makes very nice custom badges. Going to see if he can make a nice 06 SRT-6 one. Maybe slightly smaller then the factory 06 one since the factory 06 one was designed to go on the fenders.

I am also sure he could do custom colors too which would be nice.

Here is a picture I just took of the factory badge showing the discoloration.

I do like the symmetry between the letters. It sits perfect.

I got dinasrt's old badge! Now I have a bright red one that I may replace soon, but I'll probably save it for now.

Hey there Chuck! I never even considered trying to pop the 6 out and repaint the red; didn't think it was possible. Never did install the new fresh one that I got, and like you, saving it for the time being. The rear remains unbadged, although I decided my new mesh front grill looked too plain and placed an 06' badge on it. Tried the oem 05' badge, but it looked too small to me on the grill. Just wanted it to be a little different. Gives me a little Mopar flavor, lol.

I popped mine off and painted it. Thanks Sussudio. I just used 3mm double side tape after it dried. That is the backside by the way. I am going to redo it with red spray paint, will look better then hobby paint where you can see the streaks up close.
