Default 05' Srt6 Rear Badge

WTB (new preferably) 05' srt6 rear badge. Or a used one w/ unfaded red 6. I want to keep it stock and not use the 06' badge that I see are available for less than the dealer. Or is there any way to resurrect the faded red from behind the badge? Had to ask.

We're the 2nd owners of the SSB, and I believe the first owner let it see quite a bit of Calif.sunshine.

Get a fine artist brush and repaint the red.

The red on my SRT-"6" is also faded. Previous owner must have kept the car in California sunlight too long!

using a brush - would one have to remove the clear fill over the "6" badge to do this?

a solution would be neat-0 for me to!

I retract my previous recommendation. I was thinking the "6" was recessed like the "SRT". I just checked my emblem and it's not. I suspect these '05 emblems will become rare collector items.

The '05 badge also matches the instrument cluster logo.

I just checked and the SRT-6 badge on the duffel bag (and I'm assuming on the rest of the luggage) is the SAME badge as on the car. Want me to see if I can tear it off of there? haha

The badge on the car is smaller than the one on the luggage.

I just held them up next to each other and if it is...it's gotta be less than a few mm. The text is a little different though, like on the car the text is like a bold font and on the bag it's not.

Resurrecting an old thread but couldn't find another thread mentioning the faded 05' badge.

I took it upon myself to pop the little plastic piece that the 6 is located in. I sanded the faded red part and voila it was ready to paint. Be careful not to sand the #6 as it is silver paint unless you want to re-paint that as well. Painted the newly sanded surrounding with red model paint and placed a small piece of red electrical tape behind the plastic piece. Two dabs of super glue on the back then put it back in its place. Looks brand new and took all of 10 minutes.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else has the dreaded faded emblem. Easy fix.
