Default Cts-v = : )

All I can say is wow this isn’t my dad’s Cadillac I could seriously get use to a car like this. Simply put this would be the perfect mate for the X-Fire, If only It came in SSB

My boss's boss drives one. Pretty nice car. Definitely lots of HP. My only complaint was the interior. Seemed very plain and boring. Seats didn't hug very well. Just wasn't what I expected out of a car that cost that much and claimed performance.

His is in the best color as well, black. So who cares what other colors it comes in.

I probably wouldn't buy one (that's if I could even think of affording it) but it is a slick car for sure.

I'd rather have a C63 AMG...

MT did a comparo between the M3, RS 5, & CTS-V (coupe)....the Caddy got 11.8 mpg......M3 did the best at 13.9 mpg.....but I suppose if you willing to drop $70K....who cares about gas mileage?? $70K....that's >4 Wilmas......(new).

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but are you blind? Their interior is way nicer then MBs and BMWs by far! To each his own I guess .

CTS-V

C63

M5

You should take a look at how the fabric on the cts-v's ceiling bags and wobbles. Cheap is the word that comes to mind. That said.......buying a c63 AMG would leave you looking at the back end of the CTS flying off in the distance.

C63 is the better built car by far.

11.8 mpg would be refreshing compared to what I'm currently getting

BTW I didn't notice any problems with the headliner and the recaro seats actually held me in place better than the seats in my X-Fire

after driving both the C63 and the CTS-V butt dyno says CTS-V owns the C63 and

I just don't like that interior. I like it better than the bmw, but not as much as the mercedes. The cts-v just has so much going on I can't even focus on anything. I like simple. The c63 has a (relatively) simplistic look to it. But I really do like simple. I don't like having as many buttons as any of those. I like more car than computer. I realize that really isn't the point of these cars, and I wouldn't pick any of them for that reason, I'd buy an exige with that money. But I digress, I like the mercedes look a lot more.

However, it wasn't so much the dash as the seats. The fabric looked loose. Just didn't seem to have any build quality to them.

I will say though, it isn't a brand new one. I don't know how old it is, but it isn't a 2011 model. So I don't know if that makes a difference.

I would take the CTS-V or the C63.....someone else would have to pay for them though..

I think the interior in both of them looks better than the M5... at least in pics... I havent been to a new car showroom in years.....

When did I get transferred to the Cadillac forum? Who gives a $hit. This is about two-seat sports cars and not pumped up GM vehicles. Full disclosure -- a good friend bought one when they first came out, but at least he had the ***** to get a 6-speed.

If you read my post you would have noticed I said it would be the perfect mate for my roadster. I have the 6 plus another 2 seater I'm building . My wife is fed up with climbing into my 2500 RAM 4X4 (seats 6) and growing tired of having to take two cars when we go out with friends. Something that can seat 4 people and perform better than most cars would fill the gap.
and yes the one we test drove had the 6 speed. I was just curious what others on this forum thought before I pull the trigger.

Later on down the road!

what i really miss is the cadillac sixteen. even our friends at top gear liked that one...a lot...i'd much rather have a few hundred of those running around than several thousand cts-v's.

to me the ctsv=$70,000.00 + mods of 10,000.00 to get to the 6 or 700 hp and then turn only 11.07 or or oryou could keep your
crossfire,, add a 550 hp V8 installed by Rudy ,, turn in the 10's, OH! cost less than 1/3 the priceof the ctsv and you will see the ctsv trying to catch you. but never will ,, another OH! don't forget you are still in your crossfire jim

I seen the CTS-V wagon the other day and it was sweet looking and even better sounding. Had a ZO6 rumble. Wouldn't mind owning one either, for now my Chrysler Aspen does the job just fine. 4 captains chairs and 3rd row seating hauls the friends and kids with ease. Oh and it's got a Hemi

Well yes, the crossfire can be made extremely quick.

But as fast as rudy's v8 makes the car, you still can't fit more than 2 people in it.
