as for the green crud your showing, hmm, im not sure what the hell that is. i wouldnt scrap it out with a razor though, will it whipe out with windex and a paper towel?
I only did that for a quick photo-op. I was very slow and careful. I can clean it up perfect; but I'm just blown away by the buildup of crud, WTHeck!! Has nobody seen this much crud and color in our intake mani.'s before??

you know oil will mold if it sits around for awhile..so that could be the green tint. I would have cleaned them up if I were selling them...hope you got them for a great price...I'm with Rob on the "leaking" inner cooler...there is oil present, when not using a catch can, but not enough for crude buildup. And having a roadster to compete against the coupe is priceless...happing modding...

That is a plausible explanation, thanks Doc.. Oil vapors+small bit of coolant juice+many miles w/ no catchcan= Moldy Green intake crud buildup. Rob can use that pic. if he wants to, and sell more catchcans, ha...... Yes, no complaints here; $500.+sh., is that good? Rob has been just great to work with through all the modding process. After I get them sparkling clean he is going to weld in the bung on the drivers side, and refurb/reteflon these for, I think, his cost; because it is very reasonable. I sure look forward to getting these on. Merry Christmas to you and all.

The only thing I thought of when I read this was "Do you need TP for your bung hole?" (in my best Beavis and Butthead voice)

If you look at Colin's (tri-zombie) post about what his license plate is...02BCD8D

Translated it reads: Oh, to be sedated. aka I Wanna Be Sedated by The Ramones. aka Johnny Ramone. aka lead guitarist.

The timing of this post makes it feel like this manifold came off the car that I bought in Lexington KY. The vehicle has an oil catch can, so I'm going to take this into the dealership and have them inspect for a leaky intercooler. The engine of this car looks beautiful and there are no drips in my garage, so I have no idea if this is mine or not. Did the OP get this from someone on eBay with the initials E.L.? I just bought his NW single Intake.

That's affirmative; E.L. on eBay. Did he run Meth/Windshield Washer Fluid? Let us know what you find out about possible IC leak. A lot of us would like to know precisely why the GREEN CRUD occurred so profusely. Good luck.

You should just remove one manifold from your car yourself. It's easy just buy a gasket ahead of time.
