Default K & N Extreme Air Filters

Hey, does anyone have a Needwings DCAI and a supercooler with the K & N Extreme air filters? I just got these filters and I am having a hard time lining them up and getting the grilll back on. Thx

I have a single NW CAI and the NW supercooler. I cannot use the Extreme filter with the stock grill. You would have to remove some of the grill with a dremel or something similar.
Not sure how well that would work, but I think some members on here have done that.

yes it's possible without any grill work. You just have to adjust how far you have to slide the rubber coupler back into the engine compartment far enough to clear the filter. Also horns have to be relocated.

Just remove the horns, the whine will be a loud enough warning

anytime Rob I'll drop in every now and then. The car went bye bye earlier this month to a great couple in their mid 70's. I doubt it'll have 20k on her in 5 more years, much less ever go over 60mph again.

Hey cruzin be kind to us seniors,i'm 72 and hope to go to the drag strip for the 1st time in the spring. ( hope there's no age limit ). I can't wait to see what my 60' time will be ? Remember when TIM CONWAY played the 100 year old man on the CAROL BURNETT show, my
reflexes are a little quicker than that,ha ha ha. Thank god that the srt-6 is automatic,ha ha ha.Like my father said when he turned 92 he stopped buying green banana's.Be careful what you say about us seniors, the AARP police will be at your door. One good thing about my age is you take things with a lot of humor.Talking about reflexes it took me three hours to type this, ha ha ha.GUESS I'LL GO AND TAKE MY MORNING NAP. ILLCYA

LOL i hope 1) to still be alive at 72 2) still racing.
When we were on the way to the bank he drove and didn't go over 60 on the freeway. I was like it's ok you can push on it a little. The car has a great new owner and I'm happy about that. He's already called me to ask how to close the hood. I lost my dad at your age, so I'm happy that your still living life to the fullest. PM me when you do hit the track, I'll be cheering you on from the west coast.
