Nice! Would be cool if someone did a real video with a good camera and sound. HD cam is cheap nowadays.. In Sweden we really don't have any strips like the ones in the states...

Ok.. Well the cameraman had a difficult angle.. in the mid of video you only see the strip. I wonder where it would be best to stand. Some guys even have cams in the car and mix all angles together. now that would be awesome!

Nice! I like your 114 mph trap. A good launch should get you close to 12.0 like I had.

How long before the rear diff goes? I've been drag racing once a month for 2.5 years now and so far so good.

The best place to record the race, if you can't be right down at the track, would be at the very top of the stands, the end closest to the finish line.

thats the 64,000$ question!! some like yours have had excellent luck. mine only lasted a yr before the clicking started. amx1397 and rudy have gone thru mutiple units both on street tires and dr's. i will say i didnt have any issues until i cracked 350 hp and added dr's. of course track setup i believe is a big factor and i use many different tracks. were my issue started was reynolds track in ga. that day they were laying down vht like it was free!!

How high are your rpms when you launch? I usually take off at 1500 rpms with the DR's. My next upgrade may put me over 350 whp then I will have to be more concerned for sure.

with the dr's warmed up i was getting 1800 rpm on my launches. something that i found out and agree with cruzinquick was regarding wheelhop. i went from nitto 55r dr's(no issues) to goodyear eagle ss dr's. the goodyears gripped so hard i was getting a bunch of wheel hop coming out of the burnout box. this could very well be the cause of my issues

it all comes with racing, more grip, more power, harder launches. Or, stay in the 12's and be happy. I like the "more" is better thing though....lol....btw, where's are LSD's....

I had to have the most passes than any other. Most on DR's both hoosiers and mickey thompsons, very soft rubber compound and closer to a slick than a drag radial. Besides when the car was stock and I first took it out, below 13's were always on dr's. Next was I only ran on real race days when VHT was put down. A poorly prepped track is when the the box and line are sprayed and not much after the start. An excellent prepped track is VHT to at least 330', but more like 660' when the same races were running 8 sec cars. Then 1500 rpm was max I ever launched at. If you broke the tires loose and then they gripped then loss traction repeatedly on the first 15', I believe you just caused damage to your rear end. This is what to avoid at all cost. I owned mine a little over 3 1/2 years and hit the track very often. Took the car in and gave it a full inspection before I sold it and the rear end was fine. It's driving style on and off the track. Also another sin was doing burnouts on the street. If you hit a good patch and the tires grabbed, your rearend is toast. You can have alot of fun with this car, just know how it likes to be treated. It definitely the most reliable car I've ever owned.

Great info Cruzin! I don't ever get any wheel hop with my Nitto DR's and hook up immediately after doing a good burnout to warm up the tires. I can see where cars are spinning too much and then hooking up putting more pressure on the rear end. A sticky track is indeed a great thing.
