Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on this website for quite sometime now well before I joined. Quite a few years ago I attended an auto convention show of vehicles that were in the process of coming out. I saw the prototype 2005 Crossfire SRT6 and instantly fell in love. I was amazed at the fact that this was a vehicle made by Chrysler and Mercedes Benz, I really enjoyed the unique feel and design this fine automobile represents. I've had my eye on the Crossfire ever since but I've been MOST intrigued by the SRT-6 model.

After looking for the perfect one for quite sometime. I recently picked up this "Black Beauty aka The Bat Mobile" a month ago. My sister and I flew out to Kansas and drove it back approximately 1600 miles to Florida to bring her home. I feel that my Crossfire will be enjoying the weather here in Florida and I will be pampering her the way she should be treated. LOL

The only mods that I've done as of now is tint the windows and I did my first oil and filter change a couple of weeks ago and I added a K&N Oil Filter.

I hope to learn a lot through the forum and its members. From reading the post, you all sound like a top notch group of people and I hope to sometime down the future meet you guys at a meet, ride in the open road and then grab a bite to eat somewhere.

I know my profile says NY City, but I have a residence about 25 miles South of Orlando, and plan on making it home in the next year or two (2).

I'm not a snow bird yet, but I'm getting close...lol...

And least I not forget, welcome aboard with the new Black SRT-6, the car looks nice and clean.

How many miles on that puppy, and post the purchase price (if your so inclined)...???

Wow, that is awesome about a meet coming up in Davie. I may actually be able to join as I was thinking of visiting family in Miami this weekend. Is there a website that I can check out with more info?

I'm originally born and raised in Miami Beach, FL. I moved to Fort Myers back in 2006 which is where I live today but I make trips quite often to Dade and Broward county to visit family and friends.

I purchased the SRT-6 from a Dealer in Kansas. I picked her up with 58k miles but it has 61k as of now since the trip from KS to FL and of course the amazing enjoyment of trips I've taken since purchasing. She rides like a champ.

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out if there is active remaining warranty left from the Manufacture? I was told about a 7 year / 70k warranty but they were not certain if I would qualify once the vehicle transferred over into my name but that the vehicle it self should still be actively under warranty. Anyone know how I can look into that? It would certainly be nice to know this for the future.

Sorry but you were told wrong. The SRT only comes standard with the 3/36 bumper to bumper. It did not get the 7/70 powertrain.

 

Not even for the second owner purchasing the extended powertrain warranty or was that only for standard Crossfires, excluding the SRT6 model?

Is there a way to find out if there was an extended warranty purchased through the manufacture that may still be valid?


If the standard warranty is good for 3 years and/or 36k, then I'm surprised to see this portion saying it is under warranty when the vehicle was reported as having 40,883, which will not make the warranty valid anymore based on 3 years / 36k miles as you stated earlier. Here I'll post the snippet of info from the AutoCheck Report:

Congratulations, definitely worth the wait. Got a 7/70 warranty on my SRT6, but I paid extra for it as an extended warranty. The SRT6 came with a standard 36/26 warranty.

Perhaps yours has the extended warranty on it, you need to check with a Chrysler dealer, they can punch in the SN and find out.

 

Welcome to the club, go to perma link#4, it has the address of the DYNO Day in Davie, FL with Eurocharged Performance. They had some special deals for this week end only. They can really make that SRT6 fly. I have an 06 Ltd. that Jerry really made hum.
