Default Omggg Bang!!!

.. that was me fainting on the floor.

I need an body control module for my 2006 SRT6.

I live in rip-off Britain

I just found out the price from main dealer...so

I'll just take a valium... BRB...

Someone help me regarding any cheaper options, short of selling the car!
I need to know:
(i) can one from a standard breaking be used
(ii) can one from USA be imported and used
(iii) can I happily carry on and not worry about changing (alarm only affected right now)
(iv) where is the damn BCM unit located in car? (to get part number)

If you can help Ill flash you my 34e's ! LOLOLOL

Dealer stealer price in US is $3,500 and a 3 month wait last time I needed one. The SRT version is extremely rare to find because it is unique to the SRT Crossfire.

Good thing for you Scotland is close by. They make a wonderful libation which will help.

Here is the BCM part number from the parts manual... this shows the same part number for the NA and the SRT... hmmmmmmm that is odd since the SRT dosent have a pop up wing... I should check mine against this to confirm..

4 MODULE, Body Controller
05136131AA 1 C, Z P, S, X 29 EGX, EGZ DED, DGJ,DGU
1 C, Z P, S, X 27 EGX, EGZ DED, DGJ,DGU

The BCM is located under the 'bonnet' on the passenger side in the black box next to the battery. It is the one on the fender side of the box with the big silver lever on it...

I am completely blown away by this price point for a BCM...!!!

Is it possible that a module can cost that much...???

It must be made of solid platinum and moon rocks...lol...

Hello Moyna,
I really wish I could be of assistance with the cars BCM but this is out of my league. However, those 34e's are right up my alley so please send pics by PM.

Thank you in advance.

I just pulled my BCM out and there is no Chrysler part number on it... the MB part number is A193 820 04 26 [07] this is for my SRT6 coupe....

Interestingly the Chrysler part number from the parts manual does not show up in the Mopar/MB parts cross reference.....

So moynah; how do you really know that you need a BCM? Did a dealer tell you that? If it's just the alarm that's affected, maybe it's just the alarm? I don't know anything about a BCM just so you know. But if the alarm is truly all that's affected I would fugetaboutit, (as long as the car operates o.k.) and/or get a second opinion. My names Bob by the way. lol

I would live with the alarm problems.
If what you say is true you should be used to alarming people or at least catching their attention.

I don't want to miss out on this, so this may be a better proposition than paying the stealership
