Default Has a Walbro 255 alone solved anyone's fueling issues?

I've been researching on here for hours and I've seen a couple expensive solutions and several inexpensive pumps. The simplest and most cost-effective I've seen is the Walbro 255 from Needswings.

Has anyone installed just the pump and seen it make a positive impact on the 20PSI leaning issue?

walbros are very hit or miss. Its not uncommon to get one that doesnt work...

I got my pump from Needswings and have adjusted the pressure from 60 to 100 to see the changes, and yes jacking the pressure will assist the leaning issues. I designed a closed loop system that will correct the leaning at high boost and Rob can fill you in on it. I have had as high as 25 psi boost and immediatley dropped it back to one pulley.

ODDLY enough, my boost keeps falling and it is not due to the loss of boost and a leak. My boost is now measured at the intake manifold not at the wye where friction and restrictions make the boost appear higher than the engine really sees. My boost took the biggest drop when I cross connected the two intake manifolds and now the zeitronic posts a high of about 17 where it was reading about 20 before. The 3 psi difference is due to measurment techniques. The boost at the valves is 17 and at the wye it was like 20, so there is much to be said for the constrictions of the factory intake runners and manifolds. More flow will provide LESS indicated boost as the charge is being taken out of the supercharger FASTER thus reducing the available pressure. THis also means that the S/C is FLOWING more mass, i.e. more air or CFM.

I run on the rich side now and have not been worried about it as my latest mod refuses to work for me....so far. The F/A issue is benign and Ill get back to it later, job one for me is to get the engine to accept more airflow than its used to seeing. It keeps bucking with a momentary shut down of the fuel - 1/4 second - ugh.

In a word, an adjustable fuel system easily allows the high end lean issues to be solved, often with only a few Psi increase in rail pressure. Factory is about 50 something typically. Enjoy, Woody

If you want to try one, I have a inline 255 (Walbro 392) from Rob that I out grew and would be willing to let go of for a really good price. Only 1,500 miles on it.

The item I bought from ImportLab arrived in perfect condition and faster than expected. I would not hesitate to purchase other items from him in the future.

Thank you all for your responses and help. I've ordered a SL55 fuel pump as this pump doesn't seem very reliable.

Hey Woody,
What tune do you have on your car? I think I remember something a while back where you did it yourself?(I may be totally wrong)
Anyways, I had a similar problem on my car with the bucking and gas cutout somewhat akin to a hiccup at full throttle. Jerry at Eurocharged said it was some torque limiter that he removed and my car was fine after that. Maybe yours is something totally different, but I thought I'd just throw that out there in case....Good Luck and thanks for your always valuable information!
