Acurate & cost effective way to monitor IAT's?
As some of you may know I recently got my car tuned by Eurocharged by Clint & Jerry unfourtunatly the car is running like a pig and even with all my mods I couldn't beat 12.6 @ 111mph on a nice cool night.
Jerry has asked me to get a reading of my IAT's for him to know what to adjust. What is the best and cheapest way to do this? and where to you guys generally put the sensor? I dont want to hack into my Needswings manifolds. They have the bung for a boost gauge but I dont know if the IAT sensor will fit there?
Thanks for any help in advance guys.
John.
P.S
excuse the spelling mistake in the title!

UltraGauge Automotive Information Center and OBDII Scan Tool
Works like a charm! cheap and fast shipping.

I want something cheap to use with my laptop.
There is 'Dyno Scan' but im not sure if it shows IATs
The other option I have is the PLX Kiwi Wifi and the REV iPhone app that allows datalogging and then the option to email the logs which is pretty cool.
Either tonight or tomorow ill be pulling my y pipe to begin tapping for by boost bung and temp sensor, i have a plx setup. Ill see if i can measure the threads on the temp sensor and shoot you over some info. There could be a chance it will fit in the bung you have already

I found out that cars factory IAT sensor is in the y pipe so probably no need to put in a another one, but the y pipe is a good place to tap for boost.

Btw on the plx system, the K-type thermocouple, the thread is a NPT 1/8-27, and the tap drill size is 11/32, you can go with a Q drill if you have the fancy drill set. Its a special tap, and i have no ideal why they say its 1/8 because its much larger then a standard 1/8 tap. Also the tap is tapered so you dont run the tap all the way through the hole. I took a bunch of pics, and ill create a small thread on tapping the y pipe.
Btw i have 3 DM-200, and a IAT sensor, Boost/vac and A/F sensor moduel. Ive read i can datalog off of it, but havent tried tinkering with it all that much. I can do bar graphs on the gauges though.
