What a surprise
Removed the aftermarket single pipe CAI system that was installed on my recently acquired SRT6 coupe that came with all original parts. Removing and re installing was straightaway. But to my surprise the original is dual CAI. Why replace it? Gary
the oem setup is tiny at the radiator support in comparison to the single cai. also the single has a horizontal flow to the t/b were the oem makes 2 90* turns thru the airbox and causes much turbulence. flow #'s prove the single is a much better intake setup and the dual is the best on the market
Well I have two inlets at the radiator support that provides cool air to the inlet runs which I find adequate to handle the air volume and no big air filter in front of the radiator screwing up cooling air. I like it stock. I removed the kn filters and used Mann. gary

Well, you will be happy then, as the OEM is uber quiet. Hopefully you will not miss the loss in HP, which it sounds like is not high on the priority list. The SRT is a more than adequate contender in it's stock form. You may want to see if you can find out if it had a custom tune and/or a performance pulley installed. If it had a custom tune, you may want to have the ECU flashed back to stock.
