Default Dash lights were fine, then they were really dim now they're out

In the span of 3 trips. I drove from my house to my buddy's, everything was as normal. I left and they barely lit. I drove to my uncle's today and now they're out, though I think there was a faint glimmer in the odometer area.

Does anyone know what this could be? My running lights still turn on and everything else still seems to work right. The car has ~36k miles on it. Which reminds me, gotta change the oil. 0w40 right?

check that: they're just still realllllly dim. also, the lights in the radio come on strong and then immediately fade.

Just a shot in the dark, but check the brake light fuse. Back in the day on older cars the dash panel / instrucment lights would go out if brake lights failed. Maybe some partial failure of fuses if that is even possible?

Good luck

Stupid question probably, but you are aware that the left-hand **** by the speedo controls the dash lights, right ?
