I found this rubber thingie lying around in the engine-bay. Where is it suppose to be?

Hmm well the hood bumpers I got look different. But that is what I thought at first. It has a mercedes logo on it. I accidently dropped a tool and found it...

As I found it in the engine bay I guess it must be used somewhere in that area. I haver never seen it before. Not even when I disassembled everything for paint. My bumpers for the hood/bonnet are round without any "pockets".. . Tried taking a better photo with no luck. Just zoom and I guess it would be good enough to make an ID.
The part has been lying there since I got the car and thus never seen it. Have seen most other areas on my albino but this is a UFO.

It looks like one of the mount/stand offs for the solenoids just in front of the ECU box..... they look just like that.

I think they are used in a couple of places.....

I just went out and double checked on mine.... that looks EXACTLY like the mount/stand off for the two solenoids sitting in front of the ECU box.... there are two of them holding the solenoid bracket....
