Default Intercooler Pump Replacement PICS

I am still in the process of replacing the pump with the Ford Lightning Pump (got it on ebay for $104 including shipping and pigtail electrical connector)... Also got some pics of the suspension to get ideas on how to cut the springs 1/2 coil in front and 3/4 in rear!

Enjoy!

I have the SAME exact problem, When I upload multiple images, crossfireforum.org breaks and I lose all the data! It's terrible!

I am just hotlinking them from my facebook alum now,

ex:

without spaces

IMPORTANT QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!
I lost a little more then normal coolant amount as I did not clamp hose tightly, may I get the Walmart Prestone 50/50 coolant and use - Can I drive the car to my local walmart with its low coolant level? Walmart is 3 miles away

THANKS!

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT mix antifreezes. These cars have G-05 Hybrid Organic Acid Tech antifreeze:
Valvoline.com > Products > Zerex > Antifreeze Zerex > Zerex G-05® Antifreeze / Coolant

You can also add a little deminerized water to top it off.

I get butterflies driving again! GOD this car is fast!

SCORE FOR ALL SRT DRIVERS!

Drove it hard and no leaks, lookin good =]

Couple questions:

When the intercooler pump is replaced, doesnt air get into the tubes between changing the pumps? Do I need to bleed this air? Or does it just "pop" out into the reservoir tank on its own?

When one refills the "Intercooler pump antifreez coolant fluid" - do they simply place it within the radiator coolant reservoir near the battery?

Does this supply both for radiator AND IC Pump?

It still looks fairly healthy full, and if it's low, my car would tell me on the dash board anyways right? It runs GREAT and the car isn't warning me of anything, I think I'm good?

Yes, air will enter the system. Start the car and remove the reservoir cap, watch for bubbles. If you don't see any then you are good, if you see bubbles just let the car run until they stop. To expedite the process drive it hard, watch your temps though.

The reservoir is located on the passanger side near the headlight.

Yes.

You got it and nicely done.

Getting my intercooler pump replaced Wednesday by an independent Mercedes mechanic. He's never worked on a crossfire SRT but has been Mercedes mechanic for 20 years. My first major repair I'm afraid this is going to turn into a nightmare. I live in Prince William County Virginia and you just can't find anyone out here that's even either seeing one or is ever worked on one. Is the crossfire engine that much different then the Mercedes stock engine?
