So I have a torn boot on the passenger side Half-Shaft / Axle. I have been unable to find just the boot and the price for a new half shaft is $$$$. Not to mention I was unable to find any available in the US. Anyone have suggestions on where I can locate just the boot? I am going to try and temporarily patch it but replacing would be better.

 

Maybe you have tried all the obvious places but it was only just recently I saw some on ebay under SRT Crossfire parts and accesories. Have you tried there yet?

They have it for around $12 but show dealer list to be $16. Can your dealer not get it?

 

I appreciate the help but the problem is I need the outer boot and not the inner. Should have been clearer in my post but was not thinking about there being 2 boots.

So if anyone has any ideas on where to locate an out boot I would appreciate the input.

When I Google Outer CV Boot I find what claims to be the outer boot but I am told MB does not sell this part separably.

 

I'm on the hunt for one on an SLK32.. Mercedes does not show one in the EPC nor do any of the 6 vendors I deal w/ across the country have anything listed.
There are outers listed online, but I'll bet $$ they're not correct.
