Default Time for upgrades, need advice

Ok last week I finally picked up my srt-6 and for a couple days drove it like I stole it.I made a knock list for the dealer of things they need to do that I noticed weren't up to snuff and when the parts come in they are gonna take care of them.Once that is done I plan on starting my upgrades.I'm waiting on a set of mich pilot ss to arrive any day now.the other things I would like to do is CAI,upgraded HE,pulley and tune.I have 2 questions.1.Does the NW daul CAI give a significant advantage over the single? 2.I see on eurocharged website they plan on selling a 65mm Sc pulley in the near future.Aside from the ease of installation is there any advantage to the sc pulley over say a 178mm crank kit? Keep in mind I don't plan on racing the car just trying to get the most bang for my buck. Also if anyone has any experience with the interior kits they sell thru mimousa I would love to hear their input as well as the stainless mesh grills I've been seeing on EBay.I'm a bit skeptical about buying anything for my new baby off Ebay but these grill kits look damn good especially the black kit against they aero blue looks tight. Thanks in advance I've had good luck with this forum so far with info.

Single intake will do you just fine unless you want the looks of the dual.

I would wait a few weeks for the new tune/ pulley deal that Eurocharged should have coming out. Actually, I would go ahead and see if they will allow you to prepay because if they are like the C3 pulley, they will be gone in no time.

Speaking of gone in to time- go ahead and order a new IC pump.

Heat exchanger should be last on the list unless you plan on racing.

The only thing I see different between the single and dual cai's is the looks. The dual definitely catches everyone's eye. Powerwise, they appear to be similar. My home made single has helped my car perform just the way I want it to. I also have the C3 SC pulley, which is equivalent to Eurocharged's new 65mm one, and their tune. I also removed my rear cats and resonator for that little more growl I wanted. Someday I may get a larger HE, but the car is running great without one. Oh, and great choice on the Michelin Pilot SS's. I've read really great things about them. Good luck and you'll love the added power for sure!

this data is from robs flow tests. say what you want but for me 146 cfm is a HUGE difference over the single. cheap it isnt but worth it.
stock srt6 intake = 446cfm
sl55 intake = 514
sl55 with devil horns = 531
single CAI with teflon = 602
dual CAI with teflon and big filters = 748
c3 is quite similar to the 178 but again i chose not to mess with the crankshaft in any way. the c3 is a flawless performer and capable of 19 psi boost
tune as you mod. you can tune a stock car and see a gain and then retune with each addition for free with e/c.
with 100* heat around the country you can heatsoak a stock car quickly. i did cooling mods before i did anything else. my iat's run 90 -100 * below engine temps atall times unless im wot and the they recover quickly

Here's the best deal on CAI and pulley you'll ever find:

I like the extra 146 cfm but do these engines really need that much air? 748cfm seems like a hell of a lot of air for a 3200cc engine.

I wish I knew what the VE of these engines is.According to my calculations if the engine is running at 200% VE then 700cfm would be ideal at WOT but at 100% the engine would need only half of that.Anyone know the VE of the srt6?

You would think so, but at the track I haven't been convinced by anyone running the dual, which suppose to outperform mine. So until I actually see numbers to back up that claim, I'm sticking with my awesome performing single. A single 3" opening from beginning to end is more than enough.

Now that you mention it, it is a bit strange that over half of the SRT's in the 11's are utilizing a single, despite the fact that the dual nets more HP on the dyno.

Just goes to show you that real world > dyno numbers...
