Default Smell after using AC

So i have that terrible smell after I turn off the AC. I have read the threads and am going to replace the cabin air filter and blast some disinfectant onto the AC evaporator. Question is how to get to the evaporator. Looks like the thing to do is spray the disinfectant into the air intakes below the windshield. Is that correct?

When you change the cabin filter check to see if it is full of leaves and seed bits - if so I would look into cleaning under the windshield cowl to help with proper water drainage. Check posts for passenger side water leaks.

Check for mice in there as well. Those damn things can really stink up a place. All they need is a 1/4" opening and they're all nested in.

I would have a serious conversation with the passenger.....or change the cabin filter... one of the two should work...

I had the opposite problem. When ever i ran the AC or Heat it would stink. I changed the cabin filter and it got better, but still not completely gone.
