2 things could be happening, but need more info. If it is just that little throttle hesitation you don't like, then a "sprint booster" sold by one of our forum members would take care of that. Aren't cheap. SRT SIX is the forum member you need to talk to. The other problem could be the inner cooler pump. This can cause a lack of power, or intermittant power loses. In this case you need a new pump, stock bosch replacement, CM30 Johnson, or a Ford Lightening pump will work as well. Needswings can supply those pumps as well. www.needswings.com More info would help

What the others said and one other thing I can think of. These "fly by wire" cars all have a lag when you put the car in drive or reverse, or switching between the two. It's part of the stock programming. I find it aggravating but it has it's reasoning behind it.

the s/c clutch kicks in around 1500rpms, do you really want to blow away the tires sooner than that?

Try a throttle reset I know its on the site here somewhere. You insert the key.Turn it most of the way on with out starting the car. The dash lights and stuff should be on. put the gas to the floor (my favorite part) Hold it there for 5 seconds. Turn the key to the off position but do not remove it. let your foot off the gas pedal.wait 2 minutes for a full reset. Then you can drive I do this whenever the car feels sluggish.

I have and never saw a benefit to the selectable booster. The lag drove me crazy so I added two throttle bodies and now have a quicker response with some ....some not a lot but some improvement. Woody

You do understand that the supercharger needs to reach a certain RPM to effectively start cramming air into the engine right? And as Rob stated it doesn't engage until 1,500 RPM.

Hey Woody, In my last autocross and on two separate runs I got a very long delay in the exact location on the track. It was after a fast/hard 90 going into the last slalom headed for the finish where I asked for nearly full throttle. I'm wondering if I've finally gotten fast enough to experience the YAW sensor that you have talked about, or I need to change my IC pump out. The delay was like 2 seconds, then slowly came up to speed. This killed an otherwise great time I had going on.

I can be heard yelling Delay Delay Delay three times before the car started to go. Since then I added the T/B design with ROBS assistance and added a switch on my YAW sensor. I beieve your experiencing the throttle delay. I go into corners with the brakes on and the gas to have it ready for the next turn..............anticipate is the best method. Woody

So you're saying the YAW sensor is what creates this throttle delay? Did the switch on the YAW sensor alone help a lot? Obvious? I have the sprint booster set in race mode when autocrossing but this is the first time I've experienced such an extended delay like this.

I believe that chassis managment was holding me back so I switched off the yaw sensor, seems to assist, read up on the yaw to see how it hits the brake and kills power to save you from you. Woody

Thank you. This is next on my X list. I truly believe this is losing me a full second or two in lap time. I look forward to some results w/ this offswitch, and saving myself if need be and not the car thinking I need saving, lol.
