what if we all posted our cars for sale for 30k?
so with seeing some of the low prices these have sold for recently. what if we all posted up our cars on craigslist or other free listing site in the $30k range. i bet if enough of us did it, it would make a significant impact on their used value.
we have a small enough population of owners with a decent percentage of them being members here that would probably be willing to spend 20 minutes making the posting in order to raise the srt6 value by $10-15k, would this work?
there is only 1 srt6 on the detroit craigslist for sale for $20k, i was listed for $25k a few weeks ago, he must have just dropped his price.
now im not saying that someone will actually buy our cars for $30k, but what if the public thought they were worth that much and it stuck.

Yeah, that sounds like a great idea!
collusion n. where two persons (or business entities through their officers or other employees) enter into a deceitful agreement, usually secret, to defraud and/or gain an unfair advantage over a third party, competitors, consumers or those with whom they are negotiating. Collusion can include secret price or wage fixing, secret rebates, or pretending to be independent of each other when actually conspiring together for their joint ends. It can range from small-town shopkeepers or heirs to a grandma's estate, to gigantic electronics companies or big league baseball team owners. (See: fraud)
If this idea gains traction, I'll maybe never be able to afford an SRT-6 or possbily a coupe as a second ride.
I'm against this notion. Not to be political, (because we try to abstain from that behaviour), but does this attitude make me part of the 99%?
YIKES!

Isn't that about what happened with the supra's. 50k limited prduction, discontinued, sports car and the owners set the market price?
If you got the 30K for your SRT6 what would you buy to replace it? I bought my black Rdstr for less than 1/2 new cost. 30K won't buy it from me. gary

What if somebody offered me my asking price? I wouldn't sell it for $30K if I didn't think I could replace it with another Crossfire for $30K or less. Value is somewhat arbitrary, and my Crossfire wouldn't be worth any more to me if they cost 75K, except maybe my tax and insurance would go up. Nor would it be for sale, now that I have it.
I enjoy the low value placed on these cars; I couldn't justify one if it cost what I think it's worth. If they remain undervalued, maybe I'll fid my way into an SRT6 before they are used up.
Our cars are artificially undesirable. What could be better?

Everyone has their price... Heck, I just got an offer around a month ago for over 30k and refused. If it was 40k it would be GONE!
Then off to get the 4th 55K in a crossfire. just sayin'

Good point on the Supras. I agree with Craigslist idea. We should set a goal to do this soon. However the classifieds area of the forum would still exist. What would we do there--just have our own internal pricing? Plus interested buyers would search the forum and see this post.
We should do this. They did it with the Supras and RX7s. I see these on the road all the time. I have yet to see an SRT 6 roadster, except for mine and I live near Chicago so its not like I am in a strange/unpopulated area.
I have been making this point for a while so it's good to see the idea getting more traction.

I'll just wait another 10 years to roll out the two SRT-6's from storage. Then run them thru Barret Jackson Auction. I'm having to much fun now burning off the tires of the third SRT-6. Squirrel Crusher
You have the right idea...but I am going to play with both of mine now...I might not be here in 10 yrs...lol
Rob, I would take $30K for the roadster as she sets, not a penny less. I would take $20K for the coupe, not a penny less. They both have some rare mods that many don't have, so They are worth it to me... and will not go for less....$49K for both, and I will throw in a free car wash....lol

well, im not sure this would fall into that, what if we all just listed the car for more money than we would take for it, so if someone wanted to pay that much you would be willing to sell it. we may have a few $60k srt6's for sale
it sickens me to see them selling for $13k and i believe we could impact that

As much as I love my SRT, If someone offered me 25-30k for it...It's gone...I might regret it later but I couldn't pass up that deal right now
...I agree, if we all undervalue our cars and wouldn't be willing to pay that for our cars that we love, why would anybody else do it? I think it starts with the current owners 1st to demand respect in the pricing of these cars...I didn't pay what the original crossfire owners paid, which I couldn't afford...If I did, most likely I would be sick to my stomach to see what these cars are now selling for
