Nice lookin' car ya got there James!
Now that you have the car get familiar with it by reading about it here on the forum.
Careful, you may make a friend or two hanging around here. We are a pretty cool bunch of folks (even 180 (now)) and we love our cars! Check in now and then so we know you're doing ok!
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!

Thanks to all for the welcome. These cars pull hard and are relatively quiet, but any car guy/girl can hear the distinct supercharger sound. My nephew worked at Mercedes in Birmingham, AL. He knew that if I drove it I would buy it! He had a roadster and also visited the Mercedes plants in Germany quite often.
I have had low 11 second street cars that were faster in the quarter, but ran out of gears after that. The SRT keeps going! I think the looks alone could break a neck. I am very satisfied. Best kept secret in the automotive industry in my opinion.

James,
I'm not sure if your SRT-6 is stock or not, but if you love the sound of the supercharger whine, I highly recommend getting a cold air intake. One of the first things I noticed after the install (besides the increased power) was that you could really hear that supercharger go much more than before.

I don't mind. It wasn't cheap. 20,500. CARMAX of all places. It was listed in the LA area. I had it transferred up north to the Sacramento area to look at it. I thought it would be all dinged up, but it is immaculate. One owner, non smoker. Kinda makes me wonder what price she sold it to CARMAX for. It's all good for me though. I had no idea until I read this forum of how big a laugh the cupholder is lol.

James, are you already a member of Capital City Mopars? You probably know we have our annual show in your back yard at Hagan Park.
I was teasing some of the members with '60s big block cars, telling them my displacement was half theirs and I could still smoke any of them. You should have seen the nostrils flare. All in good fun, and my roadster is a big hit because nobody else in the club has a Crossfire.

James,
Welcome to the forum! You do already know that this is a great group, and lots of info available here. I know you are already loving the car. Can't say whether I'd seal it up or drive it; probably drive it. I have a high mileage (by Crossfire standards) Roadster, with just over 81K miles now. I haven't followed the SRT specific items, but the car can look and perform just as good as new for lots of miles. Don't be afraid to enjoy it. I drive mine every time I have an excuse.
Again, welcome.
