There was a discussion about cleaning the tail pipes under the detail heading and it was suggested that oven cleaner did a really great job with very little effort. I would not hesitate to try this, it sounds plausible.

jefasold - I too, have heard of using "easy-off" oven cleaner to clean exhaust tips. I don't know if it will work on a cold exhaust tip or if they need to be heated up. Maybe someone else on here has tried this and can let us know the results. I have to say that the photo of Andrew's exhaust tips look very nice indeed, using nevr dull wadding. The idea of using glass stove top cleaner sounds good too. Anybody else tried any of these methods of cleaning the tips?

Jim

I use NeverDull or whatever it is called, then clean them regularly and wax the insides. The wax makes it easier to remove the carbon but don't let it build up. Wipe them down regularly.

I used chrome polish with several different shaped polishing pads in a drill worked well on the outside and the inside if you don't have a SRT

easy-off is a good idea but it may be a little too aggressive for the finish.
Both chrome or aluminum wheel polish work really well with a small amount of elbow grease
