What is a good way to really clean the Exhaust Tips?
Re: What is a good way to really clean the Exhaust Tips?
There was a discussion about cleaning the tail pipes under the detail heading and it was suggested that oven cleaner did a really great job with very little effort. I would not hesitate to try this, it sounds plausible.

Re: What is a good way to really clean the Exhaust Tips?
jefasold - I too, have heard of using "easy-off" oven cleaner to clean exhaust tips. I don't know if it will work on a cold exhaust tip or if they need to be heated up. Maybe someone else on here has tried this and can let us know the results. I have to say that the photo of Andrew's exhaust tips look very nice indeed, using nevr dull wadding. The idea of using glass stove top cleaner sounds good too. Anybody else tried any of these methods of cleaning the tips?

Both chrome or aluminum wheel polish work really well with a small amount of elbow grease
