Red face SRT-6 with 100k, Well kept, Need your advice!

Hello all, LOOKING AT A GORGEOUS "one owner" in Texas.
How is the longevity of these beautiful machines?
Does this supercharger last longer than your average 80k mile turbo?
The test drive was incredible, can i exepect this well maintained car to last another 7 years?
Ps. The price tag is $8800... i think yes.

well clearly we don't know how the car has been maintained. But if she has had good maintenance, then plugs if they haven't been changed. Certainly do an oil change with synthetic, and fleece filter so you are off to a good start. I would put her up on a rack to check suspension parts, muffler, exhaust system. Check under door for rust. Make sure battery isn't too old, as these cars are voltage sensitive with all the sensors it has. IC pump probably has been replaced with the miles it has on it, but worth looking into. The pullies on the front of the engine, idler, s/c, need to be inspected. The rest is general. Wheels, wheel bearings, that you would normally look at on any cars with that mileage. Good luck. I am serious though, if you pass, please let me know. This is RACE CAR material right there...lol....for me anyway...

sounds like a great deal! do what Doc says and I would put it on a rack and inspect the underside for any leaks. If there are any fix em and be good for another 100K miles.

Well, now we have a baseline price for a 100k SRT6. Time to start looking myself so I have a spare for parts. Good luck with it -- it looks nice from the small picture. How is the body, rims, etc?

There are a few things missed here. If you notice that you are losing coolant, search this site for information on intercooler leaks. It's a common problem that can be corrected but the dealer has no idea of diagnosing the issue and will charge $1800 for the part. If you have fault codes or electrical issues that show up, again search the site before getting any work done. The knowledge here will save you big.
Congrats on the car. Even with 100K on the clock it will still beat on cars costing 4 times the price.

Now that is a great offer that should give you confidence in your purchase. You should make Bob your new best friend along with Rob at needswings and Rudy at Speedriven.

Congrats on the SRT I know you are going to love it.

Good decision. I'm sure you'll feel that way for a long time to come.

NO, that was a steal my friend. That isn't the going price for a 100k SRT6. Glad you made the right decision, as you made my New Year better knowing I didn't have to explain to my wife why I just bought another car...lol... Enjoy and do meet up with Bob. He has all the knowledge about your car, and where to get parts, mods, etc
