Has anyone on the forum seen this listing and inquired or perhaps looked at this car?

2005 Chrysler Crossfire $18,990 - Olympic Motor Company - Florissant, MO 63033 Dealer

I live about 700 miles from this dealership but was thinking about asking them to take it to the local Chrysler dealership to have it checked out before I make any commitments. I've just started looking at the SRT-6 and this one looks like it might be a good one for me to check into.

Looks OK, but a bit pricey even with those miles on it. I wish that was the normal price. Maybe $3,000 less would be good. Even more would be much better.

This SRT6 was not owned by a former forum member. It does appear on the SRT6 Serial number "sticky". It's to bad this car was not a member's car, you could have gotten some questions answered by the former owner....

I have seen it took a few pics and listed the vin looks ok has a loose or sagging head liner shows in the pics on there site others have tried to talk to the dealer salespeople and said they were not very helpful or nice to talk to you can pm me if you want to talk about it or chevk it out for you there is a chrysler dealership one block away they should give you a good report on it i trust them they replaced the top on my car verrry good to work with. Disagree on it being a bit pricey. Provided its mechanically sound and without any material defects, getting it for $18K or a little under would be reasonable, getting it for $17K would be a very good deal you could feel all warm and fuzzy about for the rest of your days driving it. If you can get $3000K under their asking price buy it right then and there, but I don't think that will happen given the low miles.

 

I'd like to thank everyone for their comments. And thank you John, especially for offering to go and look it over for me. I think that if the people at that dealership are unfriendly and not helpful this would be a sign that I should not pursue this car. I sent them an email a few days ago and have not heard back. I will keep my eyes open for a car locally, perhaps by a private seller, and hopefully get a good deal to boot.

Starting with a low milage, high price (2k miles & $26k dollars)...

 

you have to remember thats their asking price !!!! Not what they will sell it for !!!!! You can ask for anything but selling it is a differant story !!! Best to try & buy it now !!! Warmer weather higher price !!! They will deal now !!! Always go on the last day of the month for best deal !!! Always works for me !!!

 

That's a good price for the miles. It looks to me like value may he raising up on these little suckers again. And its the beat looking color I say go for it

 

$2k more than I paid for mine last year with 50% more miles ... a problem.

An unhelpful dealer ... a deal breaker.

You may want to go private party for a more motivated seller. Or look for the parts of the country where it's still winter

 

The SRT6's there are approx $4000 MORE than I paid for mine privately, in fantastic condition. Dealers must be taking a good rake-off, if indeed they are dealers.

 

with the headliner hanging like that I'd start at 13.5 as my first offer. If you have cash or your own financing I'd bet you could drop them down to the 14-15 range.
