Windshield Moulding
Quick Question What Holds The Upper Windshield Moulding In Place? Basically, How Do I Get It Off And Back On Without Damage? Thanks For The Help
When I had my windshield replaced, the tech used a hard plastic pry tool. There are clips holding it down. Once he found the clips, about 5 across the top, he simply gently pried them up and off popped the trim. Once the top piece was removed, he did the same for the sides.
One thing he did that was very important. Using several layers of masking tape, he applied it to the very bottom of the side pieces, actually under the lip of the fender. That way when he pried up the trim and it hit on the inside of the fender, no scratches. Either thinking ahead or bad experience!
