Any thoughts or Advice?

numbers on paper may be similar - however isn't the M3 heavier? If so it should mean an advantage for you

With the S2000, firstly it has about half the peak torque of an SRT6. And the torque curve is skewed to the right and high rpm unlike the table flat torque curve of the blown 3.2L in the SRT6. So, it's much harder to break the rear wheels loose. Ergo, you see less of the VSA system. And when it does intrude, it will allow the rear end to slip sideways about 3 ft before it decides you're trying to kill yourself. There's an off button but the S2000 never really fully disengages. It's really just a less intrusive setting for the system.
With the SRT6 and my limited launching skills, I've found the stability system to be really annoying, jumping in early and really intrusively to stop the mayhem whether there's any mayhem going on or not. With the stability system off, the car behaves more the way I'm used to a rear wheel drive car acting. I can deal with a little wheel spin and the rear end scooting a couple of feet sideways much better than sudden and total loss of torque for what seems like eternity. Now that's scary. Especially mid corner when you're trying to use throttle to steer / drift the car.

Easy win. Its manual. Which means 2 things. First there is more room for error and 2 it will not be consistent. Just go easy on the gas from the line and then smash and watch him fall back when he shifts to second. If he is a great driver well then....it might be close but you still have an edge. Stop Internet racing and get it done!
