Dyno?
Yesterday I attended a dyno day with the New England Chapter of the Shelby Dodge Auto Club at SMG motoring in Hopedale, MA (great guys - highly recommend their shop).
The shop has a single roller dynojet dyno. We turned off traction control and started the first run, but as soon as the back wheels starting rolling the ESP BAS light came on and the traction control light on the dash went from being lit, to flashing. We did two runs and then tried a third run after pulling the traction control fuses, and all three pulls were basically the same.
The car hit rev limit around 5500 rpm and peaked out at 293 whp/297 ft.lb. torque. Also, my a/f was 10.3 through most of the rpm range, but I was wondering if that could be a function of the car being limited by the traction systems light being lit up and the car being in some kind of limited mode? I haven't gotten the dyno sheet emailed to me yet, so I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but the results I've listed here are pretty close.
Are there tuners out there that have the ability to dyno the car without the traction control systems kicking in and limiting the car's power?
My mods are: code3 65 mm pulley and an sl55 intake system (and a wavetrac diff!). I would like to have a cal to tie it all together, but I want to make sure that it can be tuned to the full rpm range the car will be driven in.
