driving SRT without the wing
Hi all,
Probably been discussed but I have been driving my SRT with the SRT6 wing, the N/A wing and without any wing at all.
If the N/A or SRT6 wing is better I have no clue but all I can say and vouch for is that a wing over 60 mph makes hell of a difference. having had the N/A wing on my SRT non deployable for a great amount of time, and now having it extend over certain speeds have really improved the handeling tremendously. Without any wing the car is all over the place, especially during braking over 160 mph.
So I am well chuffed having the motorised wing working. The SRT6 wing I sold for 1000 USD so money well earned there.
Just wanted to share.
P.S. Also the DCAI with EC SC has given Albino "Xrstream" powers

Sorry fubu, but 160+ without a wing? I am not under any circumstance calling you a liar, but I find this awfully hard to believe as the lead engineer explained to us that at 120+ the rear end experiences significant lift with no wing....
Well, how much is 220 km/h in miles? Anyways, the point is thsy the rear wing is making our cars glue to the road. Really an incredible difference. It wiuld be cool to see if the srt wing or the n/a has the best down force. I find the n/a wing to be better. But who knows...
i pulled the fuse on my n/a crossfire for i didn't like the looks of the rear wing in the up position... 120 mph without the wing the stability seemed fine to me... but can't tell ya what it would be like a higher speeds than that... at 90 the chime started ringing.

Not absolutely positive but 220km/h is somewhere around 137mph. (62+62+6.2+6.2 mph) as (100+100+10+10km/h) is a rough conversion. Its been about 27 years since I was in Germany so its a little off...

I got carried away and I stand corrected but the important bit that i am trying to put across is that the n/a wing really makes a big difference for the cars handeling.
Trying be somewhat incognito but just imagine a nice white N/A with different front and interior. Also during winter season I have the SRT6 wheels.
Ask the seniors, some of them have got a pic sent to them. Its happening right now. The dcai went in last weekend along with the wingmotor. Need to update my enginebay avatar...
Of what is it exactly you want a pic? We had the first Swedish gtg today so you can ask Silverarrow as he seen it IRL. If you meen going above 160 mph + ? Who is stuoopid enopugh first to go that spd and then taking up a camera to do a photo
?
Didn't know it was so secretive, silly me, I thought this was an automotive forum
Did not get to 160 mph, too fast for me. Hardly go over 60 mph to be frank. But I did go about 220 km/h and it was somewhat hard to hold a straight line. I thought it was the tires or bad bushing but it was the lack of down force. So the ironing board (or SRT wing) is worth having when going over 60 mph.
Send me your email and I'll catch vid of the white rhino lifting it's tail.
