Agreed. I'm not on one side or the other. I think it'd be great if the were an armature that would use the SRT wing as an air brake. Might not be to complicated if the same high speed circuit/logic for the NA wing exists in the SRT. Hmmm....

Not at all. My statement was as stated. Granted, I believe what you said took place. I'm a show-me kinda person. Since I have no practical way to test either, I'd prefer to rely on an actual document comparing the two, or maybe have an NA and SRT test for slip angle and actual donforce pressure at speed.

I think we could dig up the info. I didn't see any point in it. It is what it is. I have as many 160 passes as anyone on here. The belly pan was the surprise to me not the wing. Makes a big difference on how long it takes to reach those speeds. I will see if Harbor is still in touch with the engineers. Jim worked for Chrysler during those yrs.

I'll side with the engineers. With the visual aspect, I had three CHP tail me within 5-6 miles of each other on Christmas day in San Jose. The first time I was doing a leisurely 80 mph (like everyone else) when I just glanced in my rear view (sh*te, he came up fast). I got in the slow lane and he glared at me; he must have called his buddies because this happened twice in a row! So, I ended up driving 65 all the way to my brother's place in Half Moon Bay. I think the "ironing board" attracts more attention. If I'd been driving the black one, I'd have gotten a ticket for sure. As for FUBU, white is not stealth, graphite is.

guess no one liked my n/a air brake idea ... i just thought it would look cool and perhaps help during high speed braking kind of like the Veyrons does, although im sure the motor on the flapper wouldnt be quick enough to move it up and down i guess for air braking... still i like the thought , the srt6 one would be even cooler , but it would hit the body work thanks to its large forward pointing horns on it .

I'm just working on the flip down tail lights with parachutes for those frequent high speed braking conditions on my daily turnpike run..

I would recommend the magnetically released boat anchor with the 50' bungee cord ......

You do realize how long it takes to roll that bungee back up after you stop.. right?

Not to mention 3 stops and its back to the marine supply store..

1. With practice, under 30 seconds ( heck, I could repack my stratostar in 1.5 minutes back in the day when I was a skydiver )

2. depends on the quality/size of the anchor.

The 1969 Dodge ChargerIII "concept" car had "spoiler" type air brakes.

According to a recent study, grey is the most ticketed color of vehicles. Guess white would be more stealth according to said study.
