LS3 Camaro kill
I'm not one to look for a street race, but occasional the opportunity arises and it happens.
Coming back from Ohio a couple days ago, I spotted a silver LS3 Camaro quickly approaching from behind on a crowded stretch of interstate. As he slowed beside me, pacing my speed, I goosed the throttle to see if he was interested. He must have been interested, as he floored it and just took off. This idiot was swerving through traffic and must have reached 140. I stayed back by choice, but couldn't have caught him anyway due to the huge jump.
When he finally slowed down, I pulled beside him and realized he was in his late teens or early twenty's. I advised him of his risky behavior, and have him some suggestions.
Next, I got him to slow down to around 50 and suggested we race to just over the speed limit and not exceed 100.
I honked 3 times, and we both floored it in unison (rare occasion). The SRT6 immediately pulled 1 car on him and the distance continued to grow. In the approximately 5 seconds we were on the throttle, I'd estimate I pulled 2/3 car lengths on him. I was a little surprised he did that well, but I suspect the Camaro had engine work. The exhaust was pretty loud, so I suspect it was aftermarket. He also have black wheels, and a custom hood with an "LS3" emblem on the sides of the cowl.

Nice kill! I would expect to see a thread on a Camaro forum saying he blew past an SRT up to 140mph... conveniently omitting the last part of the experience.
The Camaros sound great, but they're quite heavy. I drove the SS model and liked it in a straight line, but the handling was a bit... numb.
Steve and I saw one at the car show last weekend, white w/ red stripes and had a 454 badge on it. Looked sharp but I know nothing about the model, or if it was even an official model and not some owner's unique iteration.

I guess one needs that much to pull around 2.25 tons of metal
