Default Fuel rail and injector design...

So using the calc.....BSFC*0.6/(#injectorsX80% duty cycle)
and using 400bhp (end game) with 6 injectors (6 cylinders)
I'm assuming the Engine is putting out 500hp and the wheels are seeing 80% of this...
....although I havent confirmd if the BSFC is based on engine output or rear wheel bhp....if someone can confirm.
In this calc - I have used the 400bhp (rear wheels)

This gives me 50 lbs/hr/injector - (or 525mls/hr/injector for those of us SI compliant).....
However I think this 0.6 factor is calc'd at an AFR of about 12.8
If you wanna run richer - than add 10% to this - so 55lb/hr/injector

Okay so I'm hearing from 32Krazy et. al. that for this kind of output, you need to upgrade rails, pump, regulator....(injectors?) - amongst other things of course.
Whats the spec on the stock
  • Injectors? - lb/hr + psi/bar
  • Fuel Pump? - gpm + psi/bar
Obvously less than this 50-55 otherwise you wouldnt need to upgrade the system.

Injectors are 480 cc (100% DC) or 45.8 pph @ 43.5 psi (Bosch 0280156304 or MB 1130780123)
Pump is 170 L/hr at 4 bar
