One Less SRT6
It has been awhile since I've written on the forum. Anyway, I'm in Vegas right now. Received a call early this AM informing me that my SRT6 that I take to the track was destroyed in a garage fire. In addition to my car, 2 ARCA trucks and all the equipment/tools were also lost. Unfortunately, my good friend and fellow racer, Mark Jones of Marcus Motorsports has lost so much.
If you would, send prayers of comfort to Mark as he goes through this diffucult process. We do feel this fire was arson (his soon to be x wife).
I'll be seeing many of you at the Tail this fall.

Thanks. It is just a car/possession. I'm just glad no one was hurt physically, yet the emotional pain will linger for Mark Jones.

Awww this sucks! If she did do it, I hope they throw the book at her and that its a very large and heavy book! Really, someone could have been seriousely hurt.

sorry to here that, want a V8 Crossfire SRT6 or what is next? I know you can't give up racing, I tried for 5 years i did not hit a track,, then one day I was back, see you there. jim

Thanks everyone.
As for racing, I'm still racing in the Chump Car circuit. Came in1st, and 3rd at St. Louis recently. Also came in 2nd at NOLA in New Orleans. Didn't do so well at Daytona, but the track is awesome. Next race is Sebring, Road Atlanta and I think we head back to NOLA.
As far as a track car, I'm not sure what I'll do. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe I'm not suppose to be out at Putnam right now. I'll sure miss that track, but for now, will just be with my Chump Car team.

Sweet lady, I'm really sorry to hear this.
I suppose the Maserati is being written off too?
Hope you find something fun to replace the -6 and your friend can find a way for an arson-related fire to be covered/insured?

I saw that on facebook Jane. I was down that way yesterday...I didn't see flames....lol. I will be in Ft. Branch next Wed/Thurs if you are around....let me know... I know you loved the 6, but I would expect you to replace it with something even more fun...good luck... I need to see one of those "chump" car races sometime....

Jane, Got your text this morning. What a sad thing to happen to your freind and to your car.
Arson or accident,you and Mark have our ( Cathy and mine) prayers and best wsihes.

Sorry Jane. While you have lost a wonderful car, it sounds like Mark is doing even worse.
While my heart goes out to you, it hurts way more for what Mark must be enduring - and I've been in such a divorce (it was years ago, everyone - not the lady you all know about).
