C6
From a roll theyd probably pull, at the drag strip unless they have a great driver you should be fine, I would get a pulley before you try though. I ran a brand new C6 505hp at the 1/4 mile and beat him by .1, if they would have slicks it wouldnt be an issue for them
I have to say the car launched pretty good. Have no idea if it was stock or not.
I might just list the vette's along with mustangs as cars I don't mess with.
I'm assuming with the tune you should have no problems against any mustang except the cobra 's
Depends there are a few engine options for that generation. 05-07 are solid mind 12 sec cars stock. 08 have the ls3 engine and run low 12' stock and get get deep into the 11's with a few bolt ons. LS7 Z06 dont even bother unless driver sucks or they are running street tires. At the track anything can happen especially since the srt is relatively quick off the line with traction. On the hwy... They all run away. LSX powered cars are hwy studs.
This is true, they wouldn't hang with the srt6 stock.. but a friend of mine has one with a procharger, it made 408 whp on low boost. The 5.0's make 533whp on 7psi
. I'm saving my pennies for a procharger.
She got a pair of ******* that makes you beg forermilk and an *** lile a 8yr old boy. Paxton is a true legend for makong that role.
We are giving away a Camaro where I work for charity. It is a Lingenfelter Conversion. 600hp 6 speed with a suspension/brembo set up. A 'vert to boot. Car is in the $88K retail area. I will be posting the info soon, since it will not be given away until Feb '13. It is #1 of 100 Panther Versions they will build this year. What does this have to do with the discussion. Well, I have found these conversions are nice car show internet discussion bragging rights cars. But, I don't find many as quick as a 7 yr old 6 cylinder... You still have to hook up to get down the track... just sayin' ... I would take it, if I WON it, but I will never buy one.... ZO6, ZR1, yes, they are some real race cars right out of the box....and not to be taken lightly, but at a huge price... I will keep my cheap outdated 6 cylinder...
I forgot to add, it is black, has some very cheap gold trim and stripes added. Not really impressed. I like the brakes/suspension set-up and the motor...but I don't see $88K here...anyway, I will start a thread dedicated to the charity, in case anyone is interested in buying a chance at it. Last year we gave away an Orange County Chopper....

C6 is exactly what is in the Camaro I was talking about... Did that Mustang cost more than $15K? LOL...it is what it is... I like my HP and my times for what I have spent...I will keep the other $40-50K in my pocket for 1.5 seconds....
exactly!
or buy another srt-6
no problem with Mustangs. They fall by the wayside rather easily. Have to admit I've not had the
chance to play with the GT500, and that might be a bit of a handful, but the rest see my taillights.
Here's a good read: 2011 BMW M3 Coupe vs. 2011 Ford Mustang GT Comparison - Motor Trend
