Default I heard a...

...noise coming from underneath the car today. It is not constant, sounds almost like air is let out and it is some sort of a "squeal". It happens when going from 1st gear and going to 2nd, it does not happen all the time. Or if I floor 1st and spinn the wheel a bit. Almost like a turbo release. Supposed to be like this?

Many thanks for your input on this.

That sort of money is not accepted here. But hey, I can gladly give the squeal to you for free.

It sounds like your flux capacitor needs a little lube. White lithium grease; as it is non-corrosive.

You take a lot crap.... but, you will have to do a little better description than that if you want any help. Is the car running fine, as in no boost leak? Is the exhaust fine, no leaks? A lot of different things can be happening here.....but I would think the car wouldn't be 100%..... Check the rear tail pipe for a potato.... been known to happen to best of guys.....lol

haha I just find it funny with a bit of jokes here and there Hmmm ok I will try explain in more detail. Me being an amateur at the mechanics it is a bit difficult to make a analysis.

Boost leak, hmm possible to test this?
Exhaust leak, possible to test this?
Hmmm I will check if someone put anything in there...

Thanks for reply

Went and checked the tailpipes, no bananas... Or at least what I could see with the help of my iphone as a torch. Popped the hood and checked the belt. I find it to be nice and tight. I can actually remember hearing this "noice" or like turbo release noise before installing the PSK aswell. It occurs when in 1st push pedal to floor and a bit of wheel spin and the let go of pedal. Then its like boost release sound...

Recently I have experienced a bit of a hiccup. See thread below. Thought it was due to the EC tune. The increase of sensitivity.

.............and when you find it, just remember the potato goes in the front of your trousers, not the back!

Yes, that's something you could try out. Great idea for all that are boosted. If you do make one, you only need to use standard PVC primer and glue for those PVC fittings, not the special epoxy that they showed in the video. I have a suspicion that you won't be able to do this without many more questions though.

Hmm are there any simpler way to test for leaks in exhaust, boost ?

You've said it happens when you mash it from a stop but when it happens between the 1 - 2 gear change are you also on it hard at that moment?
You have also just mentioned possible exhaust leak.....could a weakend motor mount be allowing enough engine movement to create a momentary exhaust leak at a flange?
