Supercharger still only kicks in 75% of time :/
So i just got my 6 back from the shop because i have an extended warranty and it requires for a diagnostic first. They said the reason for my problems of the charger not working was because of the main computer.. so anyways they replaced the whole entire computer system (like $4000 worth of work.. totally free to me
) When i drove it off the charger worked SOOO amazingly and everything was better than great. Well last night the charger only kicked in about 75% of the time... But when it did oh boy it did.
Before they replaced the computer i told them to check the I/C Pump. But they told me multiple times that it was in working order.. Any ideas whats still wrong?
I also noticed that every time the engine temp gauge got over halfway that the supercharger would not activate

Well, replace the pump...whether a cm30 or a stock bosch...They are the one's who don't know what they were talking about....at least you have a new ECU....lol....but either the pump or the s/c temp sensor is bad....period....
75% of the time, you're fast all the time
. Seriously though, replace the pump, hopefully you're at least somewhat handy and could do it yourself as the part will cost you under a $100 and you could even verify that the old pump is broken by popping it open before replacing. My pump was bad when I got my car less than a month ago and it would do the same kick on/off all the time. I wonder how those guys even verified that the IC pump was working.
I went through the same bs with the dealer when I first bought my car. The ic pump not working only turns off the super charger when the car is hot from driving perhaps 5 miles or more. The dealer would never drive it enough to have the symptom appear. I finally took multiple postings from this site to the dealer ,and the new ic pump fixed it. This was done under the extended warranty $150 deductible. I am betting the pump is your issue since its so common.
Pumpity Pumpity Pump.
I installed the cheaper one from NW.
You have to change over the connector but it's not so bad.
The car and SC run rock-solid!

I just put the upgraded Bosch 010 pump on mine and it works perfectly with no altering of the bracket or wiring. And was far cheaper than the price shown in your link, just saying!
Same here, direct plug in. No worries about it breaking it in the future since it has been redesigned and thus the new part #, under $100 shipped.
Alright so before I order this tomorrow , I'm just gonna ask again. This will work Bosch Intercooler Fluid Pump
I'm not tryin to sound stupid. I just want be 100% before I spend 130 bucks

I do business with Autohaus Arizona in Tempe (800) 240-4620. Great customer service and reasonable prices (I ordered a couple of Bosch CPS units, just in case as of late). The auxillary water pump is the 010 unit. Their part number is 000 500 03 86 and runs $110.00 shipped. I couldn't believe the unit was failing after only 1,290 miles and it acted just like you are describing (I couldn't believe the RCM unit malfunctioned after 800 miles, either). So, to remedy the situation I ordered a new one for the black 6 and a backup for the graphite 6 of which I'll probably do a preemptive repair. R/R took about 45 minutes and was easy (basically, take off the pass. tire, inner quarter panel shrouds (careful with one push pin on the front fender), and there it is! Since its a stock replacement, it's just plug and play. Tools required are pliers, torx/star bits, and I think the bolt on assembly was 8mm. I lubed the rubber sleeve a small amout for ease of factory positioning. Ran like a banshee afterwards. Very minor fluid clean-up. Just make sure the two hoses are seated properly to ensure zero leakage. I posted some pix of the defective/disassembled oem Bosch pump in the general forum under "what did you do to your crossfire today." There's a "how to" posted for this exact repair on the forum. Use the search function, but really its an easy job. Thanks to all the great 6 owners here who make our lives as permagrin-ready as possible.
This is the Bosch Part Number you need 0392022010. I bought mine on eBay (Brand New) from a USA seller and it cost me $119.98 Plus shipping but remember I'm on a different continent.

From the picture, it is NOT the correct pump if you want a direct plug-n-play replacement. The hose connections are too long and you should not need a different electrical connector. Do a search on the internet for the "010" Bosch part (a couple of people have listed the full part number) and pick the place you want to order from. I have pictures in my gallery of the pump if you want to compare them to what you posted. You might email Rob at NeedsWings and see if the picture has not been updated and he really is selling the "010". He is usually pretty quick at getting back to people.
Good luck!!
