Default Windscreen repair kit...anyone used one?

some of the videos for these look amazing....anyone used one?
I have a 3 cracks radiating out from a perimeter point, 6", 3", 2"

Kit cost $23....much cheaper than OEM screen, but will it last?

Nothing to loose....unless it cracks and professional repair (next option) says...."nah mate you fouled the crack so I cant fix it....."

From what I've been told, any crack radiating beyond a "simple" star is irreparable. I don't think there is any product that can prevent the spread of a fracture of the magnitude to which you refer. There are products out there that could cosmetically "conceal" the fissure, but, once created, a crack has more strength to propagate than the glass has strength to resist it.

If this is a plastic screen, you can drill a very small hole ahead of the crack and once it hits the hole it stops. I am not fully understanding whats being talked about so if I'm off base, oh well!

I was assuming "windshield" since Brits, Aussies and Kiwis call that thing a "windscreen". Kind of a "boot" and "bonnet" thing....

Yea, if it had been a 'plastic' screen, he would have said 'perspex'

Go figure, we have a common language that keeps us continually confusulated.

Ahhh, two points mentioning... I didn't see his location (bottom left in sig) and point two was I thought he was talking about an SRT-6 roadster windscreen between the roll bars.
