Default going back to the bosch pump

Bought my SRT with 26,000 miles on it and have 52,000 on it now and have already gone through two johnson intercooler pumps. Decided to go back to the Bosch pump but had cut off the power plug to accommodate the Johnson pump and am looking for anyone who switched to the Johnson pump but might have their original power plug laying around. Anyone??

what was the nature of the failures if I may ask? Electrical or mechanical??? This seems very excessive. Do you do a lot of commuting in traffic or highway driving? I d guess you have stop and go driving mainly with that record. Thanks Woody

Sounds like the pumps are getting over worked. Have you checked for any restrictions in the H/E circuit? I will check my box-o-stock parts and let you know if I have the connector somewhere.

Yep. Pumps burn up if the flow is impeded. So switching may not help. Too many on here running Johnson's. I think we would have heard more complaints. I use Bosch myself. Cooling is still stock on my cars. So no need for more flow. Good luck.

Driving is all local. A mixture of highway and stop and go. As far as the failure being electrical, mechanical or impeded flow I don't know how to check for that. (H/E circuit?) there's no crimps in the hoses in or out of the pump.
No warning indication lights on the dash.
Could I be doing the install wrong?
I can replace parts but am lacking in the diagnostics area.
Woody would you like me to mail you the pump once I swap it out?

I was in the same spot as you man. Do your wallet a favor and simply buy some of these at your local auto parts store and connect them to the cut wires that need to plug into the Bosch plugs and you are off to the races - one plug for each wire and each male plug.

I did the above, and them filled the plug with silicone to better secure the wires. Was still running strong after I hit a telephone pole.

mrobinso and grip grip. Followed both of your suggestions and am up and running. Hopefully not into any telephone poles though!!:0) Sending the Johnson to Woody for further inspection.

While I knew that Woody is an extremely talented and knowledgeable individual, I never knew he did Johnson inspections,,,,
