Thanks Dennis.
I'm not sure on its history but if I'm reading the door label correctly it was manufactured 10/05 but didn't become registered until 04/07 in the UK.

Agree its a great site, looking forward to enjoying the car once the weather is better.

Here are a few of the reasons for my remarks about your SRT6: 1.) My 2005 SRT6 was manufactured in September 2004, as a 2005 year model; 2.) All 2005 models VIN#'s last 6 numbers begin with X5 and your 2006 model begins with X6, regardless of the initial registration date of the vehicle, 3.) the 2006 VIN#'s started in the range beginning as X64XXXX, 4.) the registration date has no relevance to the manufacturing date, since no SRT6's were manufactured in 2007, the initial registration date of your car.

I hope this helps in your understanding of my initial comments.

Good Luck with your car!

Thanks Dennis, I am interested to get to know the history of the SRT's. I had read they were only made in 2005 & 2006. I also read they became 'special order', I realise there is going to be a significant delay from manufacture to registration, especially if it is RHD that has to be shipped to the UK. There is sometimes a delay here in the UK as the dealer may keep it as a show car and register it when the new registration plate comes along.
Thanks again. Nick.

Welcome to the world of the Crossfire SRT6 family! This site has a wealth of information related to the maintenance and customization of your SRT6.
You should consider joining us at Carlisle in July for the Chrysler show and meet with some other Crossfire owners. I believe we had 30+ Crossfires at the show, look for the car show section of the forum.
Welcome and have a great time with the SRT6....

Welcome aboard Scalawag
I've added your forum name to the VIN# line and corrected the color of your SRT6. The dealer did not have it listed when I saw it on their website. The update will appear at the next upload.
It's great to have you join a wonderful forum group with a massive amount of information on the Crossfire SRT6.
Enjoy your ride and once again, welcome to the forum.....

Really happy to have found this site...

VIN #046559, black, coupe, 59K, formerly from IL now in KC ,MO. Looking forward to trying to get to a number of event in the coming year. Mom's in Asheville, NC so any Dragon run will be on the list.

Just did 4K in PDR to fix hail damage. Still needs new cats, and a driveshaft rebuild once it comes out of winter storage, new wheel bearings and probably a s/c service, sometime in the spring as well.

In the two weeks I've had it, I've been digging into figuring out just what's been done to it by p/o's. Next week it's off to the local quarry for underground storage.

There was a NeedsWings oil separator partially installed (an assumption, as it fell out on the trailer ride down). Not a bad thing as I also found a torn hose from the valve cover to the intake boot, while re-installing it.

Someone cleaned the K&N's but failed to re-oil them, so who knows what's got into the s/c. As filthy as they are I'm planning to ditch the K&N's and go back to paper for now.

What looks like there's the remains of an K40 detector/jammer I've yet to clean up. Gonna need a new console piece in the upper center next to the ash tray to get rid of the indicators they installed.

Also there's HID bulbs (going pink) in the High and Low beams, but the lenses have not been re-positioned for the bulb length so the beam patterns are terrible. These will probably go back to stock as well.

Installed a new Alpine CDE-HD149BT head and Sirrus XM receiver. USB extended from head unit into console as well as two USB power ports.

Other possible future work: trans service, looking into sane pulley upgrades (don't necessarily need more boost, just want to fix what appears to be a design issue), paddle shifters if I can still find a kit, looking for a progressive rate spring that does not lower the cat any more than it sits now. Also contemplating Digital Guard Dawg keyless / push button start, and most likely will add a backup camera/mirror.

There may be a way to find out what has been done, as far as required service by the previous owner. The VIN# database has a previous owner listed as ChopsSRT6. Look up the list of all registered owners on the first page of the forum, and find ChopsSRT6 in the alpha listing and send him a PM (private message) for help in obtaining all of the info you need to bring the SRT6 up to a current status, as related to the servicing of your car.
Other owners were successful in doing this communication with the previous owner, it should help to fill in the blanks. I assume you bought this from a dealership?
Send an email to Rob @ NeedsWings, and he will help about the oil catch can.
All of your upgrades should keep you busy for quite a while, good luck with your SRT6!

Hello, I am a new Srt-6 owner. I used the search function on SRT6.com and found my vehicle had not been registered yet. I have registered over there. Here is the info again in case you keep a separate database. Happy to add another one to the list.

There seems to be a little confusion about the SRT6.com site, it's maintained by FUBU (a forum member), with other items offered by that site other than a VIN# database (listing of 500+).

As Onehundred80 pointed out, your VIN# already existed on the forum maintained database, so I added your forum name to the forum related database (listing of 2300+). Your name will appear at the next published update.

Welcome to the forum and the world of the Crossfire SRT6, enjoy your SRT6. You may want to join us at Carlisle Events in July 2017 and meet several owners at the Chrysler Nationals.

I am a new SRT6 owner and member and I have some updated info. i now own VIN 6X064173. (Machine Grey) It was already listed in your registry.
I am Steven Schrott and I now have it in Covington KY.
I also saw some old info about the SRT6 emblems on the 2006 version. This one has the slant SRT6 emblems on both front fenders and also on the rear of car.
There are no Crossfire Letters on the hatch.

Congrats on the purchase of a rare 2006 SRT6 in the USA!
Those emblems, for whatever the reason, appeared on the 2006 SRT6 models sold outside of the USA. Those cars had the front fender emblems, but NO deck lid emblem. The deck lid did have the Crossfire lettering. The USA models had the 2005 SRT emblem on the rear deck. along with the same type of font embroidered on the seats, and the tachometer.
The question I have at this time is, what type of lettering appears on your seats and tachometer, slanted as your exterior emblems or the 2005 block SRT type font? Without this info, I have to assume the outside emblems were added by a prior owner, slanted design, and the block emblem, 2005 SRT type, and Crossfire lettering was removed.
BTW Steve, I would remove the street address from your info, just my 2 cents....
Welcome aboard,
Dennis

2005 Graphite Metallic SRT6 with 66.7k in Raleigh, NC

5X049163

Story is this car is from a family up in VA. Not sure if the previous owner registered it though, as the SRT6.com registry doesn't seem to work for me.
