Purchased my SRT at 30k for the next 30k it ran like a dream, i could unleash it whenever i pleased. Now at 65k it does.not have the same performance, at highway speeds or even at dead stops it lacks significant acceleration and sometimes it feels like.im driving a nkssan sentra instead of an SRT.vehicle. the problem is intermitent, what could it be? Ive replaced the throttle body, SC pulley, air pump, SC clutch, crank.sensor and plugs and still no fix... please help.

try do a throttle reset, but for sure I would guess the IC pump needs to be changed.

 

Thank you, i believe the main culprit here is that infamous bosch pump which seems to only last 25k-30k on these SRT's. Have u replaced urs? If so, which pump would u recommend?

 

I'm confused, you replaced a bunch of stuff (some not related to the problem), but not the most common failed item?

I replaced mine with an updated Bosch and been running strong for 65k miles so far.

 

Yes, i should have signed on the this cfireforum a long time ago, ive spent countless hrs and had numerous headaches trying to find the root of the problem. I took my car to MB tech shops and theyre the ones who advised to replace all the mentioned parts. I set up an apptment w a shop to replace my IC pump tomorrow, hope it works.

 

Where did u get an updated bosch one? I think my Johnson is starting to fail.

 

I actually used the updated Bosch pump for the Ford Lightning/Cobra. But then you have to swap over the outlet end and connector. I've been told the Bosch unit now for sale as OEM for The SLK/SRT is now the updated unit also. I've got my old one to verify the old part# if you need it.
