Default Weistec Engineering Supercharger Info

I had red an article about the clk63 black series making some incredible 1/4 mile runs with an aftermarket supercharger. I went to there site and saw that they had a replacement setup for the M113K so I wrote them to see what they could do for us. This may have been covered before but this is what I got from them.

To Weistec:
I see that you have made a better M113K s/c and was curious if there are any plans to use the same idea with the M112K. The slk32, c32, SRT6's could use a better, more efficient system also and we are just as proud of our setups as well. There are bigger, better flowing intake manifolds available and some have upgraded their fuel rails/pumps/systems but we have been stuck with the original supercharger. Any information would be very appreciated. I would post any news to our Crossfire Srt6 and Mercedes forums as it comes. Thanks

Weistec reply:
At this time we have our hands full, but we do intend on looking into the M112K engine and see what we may be able to do with it in terms of a supercharger upgrade.

If/When any development begins on the M112K platform, we will let the community know. Please feel free to check back with us in a few months.Thank you for your interest.

Best Regards,
Anthony

Wow, no real replies. I figured I might get some enthusiasm for these guys. I think it is great that we have a company that has made a replacement setup for the M113K and given some time they can help us out too. I haven't done much research on the company itself but the prospects are exciting. at least to me they are, maybe I am alone in this.

I'll reply.
I too was initially enthusiastic, but upon viewing the web site and seeing the price for the M113K at $8,649.00 USD, I put that waaaaay down on my wish list, as the reply from them also basically said there was little chance they would even make a 112 variant available.

I was told by a local Weistec dealer that they don't tune our engine. For me that makes the possibility distant. I'd be interested, just don't see it happening.

I had just thought that they already had the gournd level design done with the M113K supercharger/intercooler replacement, that they might find benefit to help us out too. May be a long shot but hell i didn't know about their other products until a week ago. Have they been around for long? How long has the M113k s/c replacement been available? I do sometimes live under a rock, lol.

Hats off to RobertAMG for fitting the larger SL55 IHI SC to the 3.2/3.7L block
Looks like that could be an option for the adventurous.

Too bad he had a shady mechanic and had to do the job twice. The idea was innovative and I loved it.

That system is still in its infancy. Just check MBWorld.

I think that would be more like the 'father' site, but I reside here mostly myself too.

Over US$8k for a few tenths of a second faster 1/4? I can think of plenty of better uses for the money.

I agree. I'd rather see some development work on adapting the magnetic adjustable shocks from the Vette or Camaro to our cars. Most of the time, I would like a softer suspension but there are times............ If I had deeper pockets I would jump on this but I just gave much of what I had to my daughter for her wedding.
