Default winter wheels/tires?

Hello all--looking for comment/advice...

Situation: moved from San Antonio to Niagara Falls last year. Survived the winter ok, but really do need to get snow tires. I plan to keep the car three more years or so (then it's off to a Vantage, SL, or F-type, but that's another thread for another day).

Usage: daily driver, really as a GT not a racer.

Mods: SC pulley/ECU tune; LSD

Present: (275-35/19 & 225-40/18) on stock wheels; XF is <20,000 miles, normal wear, except one wheel curbed moderately badly (avoiding a pedestrian).

Plan: buy summer wheels, switch tires, then buy winter tires and put them on the stock wheels.

Budget: not unlimited, but not a primary concern.

Comments? Recommendations?

Thanks so much!

Shawn

I use a set of regular crossfire wheels with blizzak snow tires on them for the winter.

You can't beat Blizzaks. They are the best snow tires I have had.

for the price of Blizzaks in the staggered 18"/19" you could probably buy a winter beater car and save yourself the hassle of trying to drive yours in the snow
