Tell Pizza what to do!
Mark I have a coupe and a roadster. If you are going to keep the roadster go for an SRT coupe. My roadster is not modded except for a needswings CAI. It is a fast car. It is for crusing around sight seeing and enjoying the ride. The coupe is a seriously fast car and is for pushing my personal limits as a driver. If I had to get rid of one of them it would really be a hard decision. It truly is the best of both worlds and I am really happy behind the wheel of either car. Good luck finding the right one for you.
Nope, you're not wrong. Linda drives the roadster.
I would think that if you got another car identical to your current car, but much faster, you may reconsider keeping the slower identical one around.
Drive a coupe around, take it for long drives and see if you can deal with having that roof, and extra protection, over your head with no option of removing it at the press of the switch.
You also gotta ask yourself, and answer honestly, what it is that you want to do with the SRT.

MF69:
First, there is NO WAY I will be without a car with a third pedal!
It just won't happen!
I want the SRT to go faster ... and I want to have a super-charged car to play with. And I really AM serious when I wonder if, maybe, I better have a solid roof over my head when I get to playing with 349 hP that comes on as quickly as does the power of a supercharger.
I've owned to Limited Roadsters, never owned a Coupe. Hate the blind spots of the Top-Up Roadster... not gonna be much better in a Coupe, is it?
But the idea of the right car coming along DOES strike a solid note with me, as musicnsurf has said...

Evan and Nick are correct. The flying Turtle belives the Roadster is her car
She even gets on me for driving her car too hard. She really loves the car and from time to time will push it a bit. Once when I was giving her a driving lesson on the Saluda grade she pushed it hard enough for me to start looking for the passenger side brake LOL. So she can do it,but she just dosen't get it. I have learned she can't ride with me if I am playing. She truely believes if the rear of the car breaks loose death is less than a second away.
She loves the friends she has made at the Dragon but her eyes glaze over quickly when we start talking cars.

The first time my car's rear end came loose, I thought I was gonnna die.
Now, I can't wait for the next Dragon, or my next run up GA75 or GA60 or Blood Mountain... But of course, when my N/A's back tires let go, it's cause of going around a corner too fast or yanking the wheel in a curve, not horsepower - like when I did a uturn in the SRT during the test drive!

This is my thought on waiting for the right car......it will gain mileage as you wait. If you find the car you want and feel it's a good deal, buy it. When we got the 6, two weeks later someone else on here bought a coupe for much less, just to find all sort of nasty problems with it. They are ALL used cars now, so no guarantees on what might happen. Just buy the d@mn car and enjoy the hell out of it!!!
Just remember... the coupes hold a lot more groceries!
Nice Alpine in the dash and at least someone knew they had an AMG from the license plate holder!
I'd personally try to talk them down 'cause of the tranny, unless they will fix it. Then I'd say not a bad price.
FYI - This one was listed in our VIN survey as a salvage with LKQ .......!!! Might want to check her over REAL good!

Without a doubt buy the hardtop and refer any nice SRT-6 Roadster you find to me.
I will give it a good home and you can sit in it any time you come visit the Tale of the Dragon. I am nearby.
Best of both worlds

Pizzaguy - I thought you were a died in the wool roadster guy! And I thought you lamented selling your red roadster - and might buy another? I realize I am coming late to this discussion - so what's what?
