Default SC pulley bearing...

what would you expect to pay for a new one and what brand is best? NSK?
Oh...and are they a simple DIY changeout?

I put this thread together and asked for comments on any errors.
Prices and sources are included.
I'd go for the name brand bearings.

The change of bearing should only be done with a press to push the old and new bearing out and in squarely. Do not push on the centre race, only on the outer race edge, you do not want to screw up the bearing and bore.

cool - initially I was thinking 22,000 rpm ...that's good.....but then thought... the bearing is only used when the clutch is out...otherwise she's instep with the shaft.

it would appear the NSK 32BD45DUM
do the job.....no need to get hung up on this baby....and for the price - I'll source one for the parts box.

PS - reviewing this reminded me.....I have a couple of new EC 62mm pulleys, but they didnt come with shims....???? Should they have?

PSS - I like this precis...."You should pay NO more than $100 US including $50.00 Part to do this!! Its about a 15-30 minute job IF the car is cold (left over night) since you want the pulley cold to remove it. You can even tap out the bearing and then press in the new one"
