Default SRT-6 sold

I bought my xfire from my buddy who owns a 5 Star Chrysler Dealer with his two brothers.. (Mauro Motors in Woodbridge NJ yeah baby)

Sorry for the plug... Anyway..

Two weeks ago he told me they got their first SRT-6.. the other day I went in for a tire puncture and I wanted to see it.. only it was already sold and gone.

Another local dealer had a SRT-6 and a coupe sitting outside right next to the highway.. so everyone could see on their way to work.. it's not there this week either, I wonder if they sold theirs too.

Anyway, they are on sale and on the road.

Dude you have to go to Rt 4 in Paramus they had 3 of them in the lot and I got to test drive one, I told the salesman pretty much that I wanted to see the differnece in the two, he was cool and didnt car, and I guess he didnt care when I hit 100 on Rt 4 too. Was def a nice car. Very supprised, its a M3 eater. Its def nice nad if money wasnt an option its worth it, but for 48000 I personally dont think its worth it, but nice

M3 eater!!

I like that. I love M3s but love my Xfire even more. I'm surprised he didn't say anything about you going 100 lolol.. on Rt 4 most of all. Haha.. nice one Ferrari..

48k.. I dunno.. rather have the coupe with custom rims, turbo, and other goodies for the same amount of $$.

dyno'd 290 at the rear wheels...a quick car it was!

HP is almost exact, correct? 330 vs 333 ? Not 100% sure on those numbers there. But the Crossfire should be lighter = faster?

Andrew u do have a point, I just think that the SRT will take it, I have driven my friends 03 M3 and dont get me wrong I love the car everything from the seats to the wheels, in fact I would not buy any BMW unless its a M3, and even more that is the next car on my list when I trade this in unless I get the SL500 but thats a little pricey right now. But anyways, maby because its lighter i still think it will take a M3, But defintly would be fun as hell to watch them 2 go at it.

If you 13.0's are true then you would be faster than the SRT-6. But that is what I found on the web:
The SRT-6' E.Ts published range from 13.3's to 13.5's in the 1/4 mile, The stock 2003 M3 E.T. from 13.3's to 13.6's in the 1/4 mile. No big difference.

Next year (we have only 3-5-1/4 mile events a year) I will tell you what I did.

I'm not so sure about that... I ran a 12.8 @ 109 in my 2003 SLK32 AMG bone stock. When I say bone stock, I mean not a single modification... Stock tires, stock filter, etc. I wasn't able to back up that time, but after adding the pulleys and drag radials, she ran 12.6 to 12.7 all day long. It was a fun car and I'm thinking of getting the SRT-6 coupe now if I can find one for $35K or less. I'm just wondering how the 19HP mysteriously vanished from the SLK32 to the SRT-6. Anyone know?

Here are some links:

SLK32 323WHP Dyno
SLK32 12.84 @ 109mph 1/4 Mile Run

Just marketing! Can't have a MB with the same power as a Chrysler!

Are there any aftermarket parts available for the SRT-6 yet? Either from PVO or any of the private aftermarket companies? TIA.
