rear hub/half shaft removal?

Default rear hub/half shaft removal?

Changing out rear passenger side wheel bearing I removed everything including the half shaft nut but the half shaft won't budge the service manual is different from our shaft set up can anyone walk me through removing it please.

Wish I could help, as far as I recall some are slide in and some are bolted to the diff. To be frank I could be wrong altogether but ...
I'll look it up, got to refresh the memory here.

You have to hit it with a dead blow, there is a retaining/locking ring inside the diff. Hit it so that the shaft comes out of the diff...just give it a good whack

So do I hit the hub itself or is there something else I'm missing also I didn't remove the dust shield does hat have to come off?

I actually thought you were removing it from the car, after rereading you are just removing the hub correct? If so give the end of the half shaft a whack, just make sure it is a rubber mallet. Also you have to get new half shafts nuts, they are not reusable. I assume you have everything disconnected from the hub already? When you re-install the half shaft make sure you have a big enough air impact, the torque of the axel nut is what sets the preload on the wheel bearing.

Only things I removed were the brake rotor,and brake caliper and of course the half shaft nut
